Hermione
I think The Forgotten is Green Day's most underrated (or... well, forgotten) song. I also love Take Back so much.Same! I love that they really went for it with the violins/classical sound, sounds beautiful. And I really love the lyrics of the chorus/end ("Don't look away..."), that simply-put touching and positive sentiment set to that music is a lovely way to end the album. I would rather listen to UNO from front to back than Dookie. They're both on the A+ list for me, not sure I prefer listening to Uno over Dookie but the trilogy as a whole I probably do. So high five
The Disappearing Boy
I'd rather listen to a Justin Bieber song than Uno all the way through.

UNICORN VOMIT
I would rather listen to UNO from front to back than Dookie. Wow & I like the trilogy but no this is very unpopular with me. What's your problem with dookie.
Libertine Angel
I would rather listen to UNO from front to back than Dookie. I like the Trilogy but they're nowhere near Dookie for me.
ZSebs
Wow & I like the trilogy but no this is very unpopular with me. What's your problem with dookie. It isn't like I hate Dookie or anything, and I am not trying to say it is a bad album, I just always find myself listening to UNO over Dookie when I need some music. It may be that I have always been a supporter of the trilogy so I do what I can to reaffirm myself that the trilogy was good.

I just think most people would equate your statement with you can stare at the Mona Lisa or Dogs Playing Poker. They both have their merits but one is a legitimate piece of art and the other is just fun. Shhh, I've grown to like the Trilogy too
Billie Hoe
Same! I love that they really went for it with the violins/classical sound, sounds beautiful. And I really love the lyrics of the chorus/end ("Don't look away..."), that simply-put touching and positive sentiment set to that music is a lovely way to end the album. I was listening to it on repeat while writing a chapter for my story and it just grew on me And yes, I love the instrumental part too, it's just so beautiful. I think that many people just over-hear it because it's the last song of the trilogy and it kinda gets lost in the shuffle. You really need to take the time to listen to some songs individually to realise how great they are I don't know what possessed him to give this song to Twilight though It confuses me a bit because didn't Billie once say in an interview about the "upcoming" American Idiot film: "It could be like Twilight. No, not Twilight, Twilight is bad"? I tied to find the interview but it got lost in a ton of other articles about the Forgotten and Twilight (But it was nice to listen to it in the credits. It made the movie seem half as bad ) I'd rather listen to a Justin Bieber song than Uno all the way through. I would have understood if you said Dos because Nightlife and Lady Cobra make me cringe but Uno?? Well then!

Libertine Angel
Yeah uno's as bad as dos so Nah, Uno's just standard Green Day sound without anything that really stands out, Dos has Nightlife and so is immediately a good amount worse.

But standard Green Day sound = good music. Uno is just bland, save for a few at the start. It's just boring. Nightlife is alright. It has a novelty factor, it's nowhere near the worst on the Trilogy. It's also balanced out by Lazy Bones.

Yeah, and I like pretty much everything on Uno, so for me it is the good standard Green Day sound, but that's all it is without anything to really grab you, so it's still not as good as their other stuff, even if it's got most of the best Trilogy songs. And I can't abide Nightlife simply because I don't like rap at all, so Dos is undoubtedly my least favourite.

Yeah I don't like rap at all really, but the melody is decent, and the bassline, drums and little guitar riff/solo thing is decent. Not their best, but not their worst. I'd not want to see them go down that route again, though.

Eminem has some great stuff, so did the Beastie Boys, NWA, etc. I loved that they went down that path. One of the reasons they got in the rock hall is that they were never afraid to take chances. I would definitely like to see them try it again.
Spike
I like Nightlife, but what I'd really like to see is a sprawling melodic chorus with hip hop verses featuring a good rapper. Green Day with Amy Renee Heidemann would be sploogeworthy.
Mykee Mexx
Im kind of opening up to dos and I like it a bit more than I did before. Is it a great album? Oh fuck no. But I do enjoy listening to it every now and then (Though I skip Nightlife and 1 or 2 others when I do ) I still do like stuff like Fuck Time and Makeout Party and Lazy Bones and stuff. See you tonight/Fuck Time, Lazy Bones, Ashley, Lady Cobra, Nightlife, and my absolute favourite Wow!That´s loud make Dos still and even more the best of the Trilogy for me. Usually I skip Stop when the red lights flash, Wild One and - almost always - Amy. Should have Forgotten and DRB and maybe Walk Away on it instead. Would have been perfect for me.
