You've been so kind to me lately! This just tops the peachy cake of kindness. Thank you Kay

what are u talking about I don't even talk to you

but yes, finding out you don't like St. Jimmy has made my talking to you even less likely because Saint fucking Jimmy. How can a rational human being not like that song???

I usually just skip Extraordinary Girl or She's A Rebel but thats about it.

What? No way! Those songs are amazing! I like every song on AI. I listen to it everyday on my way to and from work. It's my fav cd.

Oh wow, you skip the appetizers, well that's okay if you hate soup over french fries and burgers!...

but i respect your opinion :)

Soup is nice to be fair, but I'll definitely take burger and chips any day. Particularly if the burger and chips is in the shape of Homecoming

Akshat Jain has spoken, you're wrong, I'm afraid.

Also, I'm pretty certain collective nouns can be used with either singular or plural verbs :P

It's moments like this when I realize I'm just really easy to please except for those certain trilogy songs

I pretty much disagree with everything about this list but hey ho, let's see what the rest of you think of it:

http://diffuser.fm/worst-to-first-every-green-day-album/?trackback=tsmclip

In case you don't want to click on it, they ranked the albums as follows:

11.) Tre

10.) Uno

9.) 39/Smooth

8.) Dos

7.) Kerplunk

6.) 21CBD

5.) Insomniac

4.) Warning

3.) Nimrod

2.) AI

1.) Dookie

First of all, Dookie and AI need to switch places. AI reigns supreme, fight me. 21CBD > Warning - again, fight me. Nimrod can stay at #3, it's a killer album. Insomniac can stay at #5. Dos belongs at #11, Uno at #10, 39/Smooth at #9, Tre at #8. Kerplunk is fine where it is.

I don't think the list was that bad. There are some things that I would change, but overall, it wasn't bad. I agree, I would switch AI and Dookie. I agree with DOS at the bottom. However, I may have been blinded by how utterly pretty Billie looked in the picture they chose.

It's not terrible, really. The basic idea is there, in that I agree with the top 5 and bottom 5, just in different orders. My top 5 would probably be American Idiot, Dookie, Insomniac, Warning, Nimrod, but the bottom 5 are still undetermined. If we're ranking in terms of objective quality, that's a bit different than my personal preference, especially since I'm not a huge fan of 21CB and I still feel an indescribable, inexplicable good feelings toward Uno and Tre. Plus, you have to take the low-budget recording of their first two albums into consideration. It's not really fair to judge those two apples-to-apples against something as bloated as 21CB.

The song for me is solid. The riff is good, melodic as any good Green Day song is. What puts it over the top are the lyrics/attitude behind the song. It was such a statement at the time, and the emotion is so visceral it's just really easy for me to get in to. It also has power outside of its original context, the words transcend Bush's era.

I thought I was the only one! It's not that I can't stomach it but the riff gets overplayed easily and I usually skip the song.

I like AI. It's probably one of the most important songs in the band's history. I think it's really well put together. It forces you to listen to the lyrics, which is important. You can't help but hear 'mindfuck America' and it makes you take notice. Musically, it's nothing special, but that solo is always a killer somehow. Great song, and its importance in their back catalogue is huge.
