Haushinka!
Whaaat?! Tight Wad Hill is one of my favorites!
Anaïs.
Longview gets unjust hate from Monmonmot, but it's not in my top twenty Green Day songs by any means. Dat bass tho... Also, I've never understood the big deal that is Westbound Sign. Bottom track of Insomniac besides Tightwad Hill for me.

TBH Insomniac is one of the few albums by Green Day that doesn't have a bad song on it.

Libertine Angel
Tight Wad Hill is the weakest on Insomniac, but it's still good. Westbound Sign is one of the best on it though.
Anaïs.
I suppose we did it for Dookie, we may as well do it for this one. Brain Stew/Jaded, Stuart and the Ave, Panic Song, Walking Contradiction, Brat, Geek Stink Breath, Armatage Shanks, No Pride, 86, Babs Uvula Who?, Stuck with Me, Westbound Sign, Tightwad Hill. I know that for a lot of people Brain Stew/Jaded is the Longview of Insomniac, but when played together they're in my top five Green Day songs no question. Stuck with Me should never have been a single; No Pride and Stuart and the Ave. are vastly catchier.
Spike
Babs' Uvula Who should be top, it's far and away the best song on there. Beyond that they're too close to call for the most part, which is why it seems like such a strong album.

Hermione
This ain't a random list thread make your own thread for that shite so it can get closed etc. Yeah this is true, better not start doing it for every album. Any Insomniac preferences/opinions that you think might be unpopular are welcome though!

Anaïs.
There's just far better material on the album. No Pride and Stuart and the Ave. are both more melodic, and, more importantly as far as a hit single is concerned, vastly easier to get stuck (ha) in one's head.
The Disappearing Boy
Westbound Sign and Tightwad Hill are the most average of a largely average bunch.
AlissaGoesRAWR
Anyone who says Westbound Sign is bad/average/not fucking amazing is 100 percent wrong. The end.

Chin for a Day
There really aren't any misses on Insomniac so trying to name the best is pointless. And saying any are average is downright wrong. But I will say that Bab's Uvula Who gets extra marks for being randomly named after a Saturday Night Live skit.
Libertine Angel
I always forget just how much I like Westbound Sign until I listen to it, at which point I remember it's somewhere around the top of Insomniac for me, alongside Stuart and the Ave. Also I have to defend Stuck With Me, because it's got a good feeling of anger in it and is perhaps the first sign of Green Day getting somewhat political.

I never thought about that with Stuck with Me, but you are right. It was their first shot at something a little more serious.

It's painfully easy for it to get stuck in your head. The lyrics are fantastic, the instrumentation is some of the best the band has ever done, and overall it's just a great song. Easily at the top of Insomniac for my and easily my favorite Green Day song. I'll defend the damn thing to death, Oh, and no hate towards No Pride or Stuart. Those songs are fucking awesome.
Certified Nimrod
- Cigarettes and Valentines and Money Money 2020 have NOTHING to do with each other. - Stop Drop and Roll was the album they really wanted to make instead of 21CB. These aren't opinions. i cannot ever get in the mood to listen to insomniac Yeah, I'm never in the mood for Insomniac either. Come to think of it, I listen to very little Green Day these days. They'd both make good singles in terms of sound, but as far as the lyrics go, not a chance.
UNICORN VOMIT
I cringe each time I listen to American Eulogy and the word "nigger" is used. If an Australian band used Abos (Aborigines) in lyrics there would be a public outcry.

Maybe because it was not released as a single
