Hermione
Yeah Song of the Century is a great intro, a suitable way to start an epic album. And as mentioned it continues at the start of American Eulogy, that along with the opening chords of 21st CB continuing at the end of See the Light ties the whole album together nicely. Before the album came out or we'd heard any music from it those opening chords of 21st CB were played on a loop on greenday.com as a teaser, it was so mysterious . Made the song even more awesome when we got to hear it. Ooh yay! You're literally the first person I've come across who enjoys it And I'm the second
WhiteTim
I like See The Light altho I don't go out of my way to listen to it like I don't just play it randomly or anything but when I listen to the album I always play it all the way which is regularly

But its not a song I go out of my way to listen too.
Guest
I can't listen to 21CBD without listening to See The Light. It's just the perfect ending to the album (although, okay, I'm intrigued by Graham's idea of RHS being the ending of the album). I just love how it ties the intro to 21CBD into the opening and closing, it's immensely satisfying to me. And fuck anyone who says the lyrics are weak I love how at the end of this grand, sweeping protest album the protagonist has to accept that "the ever after is in the hands of fate." LOVE. IT. Libertine Angel
Yup, I'm the only person who actually likes see the light I quite like it. It's not the best, but it's still good.

mrduckygoosy
They use it at the start of American Eulogy Right ! Silly me Totally forgot about it, but what I meant is the melody to be taken for a verse or a chorus in a later song Edited January 9, 2015 by mrduckygoosy
Haushinka!
I like the trashy/shitty sound of the first two albums. The poor sound quality just gives them... character. Agree 100%! The sound quality of the first two albums is another reason why I love them so much.
AlissaGoesRAWR
I probably should've prefaced my statement with a disclaimer that I don't think I've ever been able to make it through all of 21CB in one sitting, either.

AlissaGoesRAWR
you need to hit the road more (come to NY plz) What part of NY do you live in again? And I'm just being an ass, I have a trip to Columbus (2 1/2 to 3 hours) planned for a show in March and I could obviously listen to 21CB then if I wanted to. But I really don't. Guest
I will never, ever get over the fact that Song of the Century/21CBD is the best opener of all time and I'm never going to hear it again.
Libertine Angel
Not sure how unpopular an opinon this might be, but I think I prefer the vocals on the demo of Having a Blast to the released one.
Mayonaise
I think in Cautro when they flash thru the lyrics sheet they showed crushing bastards and had lyrics to loss of control someone freeze framed the sheets could be mistaken tho Yeah, I seem to remember that. When it was pointed out I just suddenly remembered there it was on Cuatro.

Certified Nimrod
I think that Demolicious is actually pretty good. I think most people think that, or at least think it's better than the trilogy.

mrduckygoosy
I don't know how unpopular it is but Church On Sunday is definitely one of the best Green Day songs, the lyrics are pretty serious but besides there's a simple and catchy tune like the band is used to create which instantly makes happy and optimistic.

Church on Sunday has one of my favorite lines ever: "I'm not getting any younger as long as you don't get any older."
