Maid Meringue
The trilogy missed out on some really great excuses opportunities to use the harmonica. Walking Alone is so perfect - I could have seen them going in that direction again.

The harmonica they've used is called TAMBOURINE in their language, and nearly every song has it's element.

Spike
Warning is a better social/political album than 21st Century Breakdown. I agree. That said, I've always thought the political aspect of Breakdown has been blown out of proportion. I mean sure, it has references to politics (the title track, Know Your Enemy, American Eulogy) but on the whole I always thought it was just lazy journalism to call it a political album and just made it easier to market as a follow up to American Idiot.

WhiteTim
Yeah.Nothing on Warning is as awesome as East Jesus Nowhere or 21st Century Breakdown or Peacemaker Any album that starts off immediatly with a Kinks rip off like Warning gets points taken off (I'm a Warning fan so not hating on it at all)
Spike
Warning is a fantastic album with some amazing songs - the title track, Misery, Castaway and Macy's Day Parade are all top notch. It has its letdowns (Waiting) but then so does Breakdown (hello Christian's Inferno). That said, Breakdown is clearly superior in terms of arrangements and vocals. I'd say the two albums are on a par lyrically and Warning is better in terms of bass and drums. So they're pretty evenly matched ultimately, but Breakdown feels like a more epic experience as a whole while Warning has some great standout tracks. I wish they'd taken the acoustic-punk vibe further.
