Ryan
When I said "seemed tired" I didn't mean to suggest anything but the fact that they were actually tired You and your cryptic words...nobody can ever be too sure.
Hermione
Billie said the coffin thing ONCE. No one else said it. And Billie says a lot of untrue things. "99 Revs is the best song I've ever written."Nah he's said it loads of times dating back to like the Warning era, it's kind of a thing he says. The point is you can find endless quotes from them saying stuff like that, about staying together and the future of the band being positive, but you won't find any quotes from them saying anything about the band ending, even just hypothetically saying if one day in the distant when the band's over etc. They always talk about the band in terms of it going on, and up to and including their most recent interviews they've only spoken positively about it. All the evidence points that way so there's not any particular reason to think the opposite, unless it's in an "any band could break up no matter what they say" kind of way.
Beerjeezus
There's no actual proof that they'll break up but honestly, on the last tour they seemed like a bunch of kinda tired guys who are bored at work. On the other hand, they probably were a bit burned out. That would be pretty natural given the circumstances. And I doubt any band would like to close their career this way; releasing an unsuccessfull album, canceling a tour, ending a band...not very cool I think they will continue but how much time will it take until something new happens is another question. I just don't want them to release another greatest hits compilation instead of new material right now.
JOE THE X-KID
Having one (three) unsuccessful album doesn't automatically mean they hate music and want to pack up. I think if anything they're gonna be more eager to prove themselves after the trilogy.

The difference being that was awesome, but whatever.

I'm perplexed by people saying that because I found them fantastic and full of energy and enthusiasm at the show I attended.

I think a lot of people seem to be basing it off Reading, in which Billie did seem a bit tired and made more mistakes than I've ever seen him make in a single show ever, but being tired/not quite as on the ball as usual isn't remotely the same thing as being ready to split the band up.

Hardly any mistakes made, and they seemed at the top of their game. My only criticism is that they didn't play for an extra 15 minutes to complete their 3 hour set haha! I think it's really ridiculous people are saying they're gonna break up. They love what they do so much, and have devoted their lives doing it. Just because they released the trilogy, which ended up being unsuccessful, doesn't mean they're suddenly going to say "well I guess that's it guys! It's been fun but that's it, let's leave on a low!" It won't happen, green day would never of that. They stick through the good and bad. Right now they're just simply taking a break, so "when we get ready to do Green Day again, our batteries will be charged.” I'm excited to see green day in 2015, we'll see them refreshed and ready to do what they purely love doing. "Music to me is the air that I breath, it's the blood that pumps through my veins, that keeps me alive"
DookieLukie
No one is saying that the reason they will break up is because of the Trilogy. Remember, they loved making those albums and consider it some of their best work. It's just that during their tour they seemed bored and lacked any sort of energy. DookieLukie
Again, did you even go to a show last tour? Because they were anything but bored when I saw them. I did. They seemed like they were just going through the rounds.
Libertine Angel
I did. They seemed like they were just going through the rounds. I saw them at Emirates Stadium and Brixton Academy, they were anything but that. Emirates was the epitome of Triumphant Return to the UK (Billie's said many times that he loves it here), and Brixton was just awesome (granted, he forgot Coming Clean, but whatever). Having one (three) unsuccessful album doesn't automatically mean they hate music and want to pack up. I think if anything they're gonna be more eager to prove themselves after the trilogy. This. This is why I think their next album will sound more like Insomniac than anything else - they know they've still got it in them, and they'll want everyone else to know it too.

Spike
I did. They seemed like they were just going through the rounds. Maybe they just couldn't be arsed playing for you because nothing's ever good enough.
DookieLukie
Maybe they just couldn't be arsed playing for you because nothing's ever good enough. Saw them in 2009 and it was the best show I've ever been too. Huge crowd but I felt like they were playing just for me. Very intimate. Last tour, not at all. Very intimate. Last tour, not at all. To be fair they'll never top the 2009 tour. I've seen them four times in three venues, with a capacity of 20,000, 60,000 and 3,000 and felt very much the same at every show, though.
JOE THE X-KID
Tbh playing material that 95% of the crowd didnt know probably didn't help.
Ian1234
I think that Green Day plays better in smaller venues than bigger venues.

Last tour, not at all. So out of the two shows you've been to, one didn't live up to the other in your opinion. Green Day's definitely breaking up now. On a side note, Green Day spent way less money last tour, no pyrotechnics and less screens, etc. That stuff is always fun, but they can put on amazing shows without them.

Todd
That's the fault of people who choose to see a band whose songs they don't know tbh.unless you went to the Tiki Bar show. Those people had no idea what they were in for. Like, 15 new songs in a row? Poor bastards. And then the next day everyone's begging them to post the setlist? Like, how the fuck would you be able to remember all the brand new song titles, especially when you weren't allowed to record
