Sauli
And better lyrics. Because even though I'm defending them musically, W!TL and Amy's lyrics still suck. The lyrics are my biggest problem with the Trilogy as a whole, honestly.
DookieLukie
And better lyrics. Because even though I'm defending them musically, W!TL and Amy's lyrics still suck. Yeah, Wow! That's Loud has completely jibberish lyrics. It' almost like Billie wanted to say "you look really hot dressed like that" and just filled in the rest with strange metaphors. Amy, aside from the chorus, I find to be lyrically sincere. I know someone that is perfectly described by that song, so that might have to do with my feelings about it.
Spike
The apocalyptic end of W!TL is a sonic image of the party finally exploding out of control. Did you really just describe a song that ends with "wow that dirty dress is so loud" as apocalyptic?
Anaïs.
Did you really just describe a song that ends with "wow that dirty dress is so loud" as apocalyptic? As noted above, we're talking solely music here, not lyrics.
DookieLukie
Did you really just describe a song that ends with "wow that dirty dress is so loud" as apocalyptic? It demonstrates the return to primal nature that happens when all society collapses.
Hermione
Wow That's Loud is psychedelic awesomeness musically and lyrically! It's great.
Sauli
If bad psychedelia means the same as apocalyptic music, then the hippies were the biggest prophets of doom ever
JOE THE X-KID
I love Wow! That's loud, it's just a badass song with a great solo, I hope they do more songs in that style, shame the production lets it down
Mar
Wow! That's Loud is catchy, but I legit can't listen to the second half of it because the sound of the music hurts my ears. There's something about it that just hits a nerve and I have to turn it off because it makes my ears ring if I don't. I don't like the first half enough to justify risking that, so I usually don't bother
Sauli
Dookie as an album is pretty much a bore after the first 10 songs. Thats what distinguishes it from Insomniac or Kerplunk. Whilst the 10 first songs of Dookie are one of the best things they have ever done, Insomniac and Kerplunk both are more stellar albums and so more pleasant to listen as albums. Dookie would be better if the track listing was different and wasn't so heavily front and middle-weighted.
Steven Seagull
Ew Espionage. It's like I am watching some bad bond-like movie. Throw it the trash please. Haha you're dead is my third favorite GD song right after Basket Case and Worry Rock. Dookie as an album is pretty much a bore after the first 10 songs. My little nephew is highly amused by that part of the song, when he first heard it he laughed and rolled his eyes and said "Billie Joe what are you doing?!". Ew Espionage. The Disappearing Boy
Lol @ seagull. But yeah, Dookie is great, all 14 (15) songs of it.
Spike
You can't be subjective with Dookie. It's either great or great. I agree it's great, and obviously a very significant album, but if someone doesn't like it it doesn't mean they're wrong; just silly.
Sauli
To be honest I never said I don't like it. I love it. I just said it would benefit from some different order of the songs.. Lol. Did you read what I wrote? "Whilts the first 10 tracks of Dookie ars pretty much the best thing they ever did" Sounds like I bloody hate it, right? I just feel that the end of it is a let-down. An anti-climax.

Sauli
For someone who says AI is awful should never accuse someone else for not knowing music... Actually nobody should even accuse anyone for not knowing music because their taste. It is all subjective after all. You can accuse one of not knowing music history or theory or something and I sincerely admit I have no clue about music theory but I doubt Seagull meant that But one can hardly know music and if one can, then everyone knows music differently and equally right. If someone enjoys something who is someone else to tell him he is not enjoying the right thing? And the other way around. Why is subjectivity so hard term to compregend?

An anti-climax. I think F.O.D. is a really great track, but yeah, Coming Clean through In the End is middling as far as the rest of the album is concerned. They could've balanced it by putting on J. A. R. instead of Emenius Sleepus; oh well.
