Spike
Hey Tom he called you a cunt use your power as a mod to ban him I'm more likely to ban him for being called The Dissapearing Boy for three years than for him calling me a cunt. Especially a lovely cunt.
AmyxLongview
I prefer AAF over BIAB. I liked the setlist better and how there wasn't any documentary-esque stuff in there; it was just the concert. The interviews in BIAB were okay but I didn't really care to see Sam Bayer yelling at people or random fans playing guitar in the green. green day is
Bullet in a Bible's CD is boring, its DVD is great. AAF's DVD is annoying with its "Hey look how many effects I can use on the footage! Who wants to see the audience again?!" thing but the CD is fantastic.

Especially a lovely cunt. What can I say, my 16 year-old self couldn't spell. At least I've learnt since then I guess. Does disliking the "look at me I'm Sam Bayer" segment qualify me as a cunt?! I'd forgotten about that. Yeah disliking that is fine.
Z J
As if he had a reputation to save after what he did with Jesus Of Suburbia and Bullet In A Bible. Are you referring to Jesus of Suburbia on BIAB? If so, the band played that crappy, at least for the first half of the song. Bullet in a Bible's CD is boring, its DVD is great. AAF's DVD is annoying with its "Hey look how many effects I can use on the footage! Who wants to see the audience again?!" thing but the CD is fantastic. Spot on, but the DVD for AAF has some pretty good performances if you just close your eyes When I'm playing music on my Bose around the house, I play King for a Day from BIAB and just wonder what the hell my family is picturing with all of the random noise/yelling. No, the JOS video itself and BIAB. I didn't think it was a bad performance on BIAB though? Also hello, who are you?

My frequent and drastic name changes must be jarring the community and for that I do apologize. And I thought the first two sections of JOS were a bit rough. Got a lot better through the end of the song

Got a lot better through the end of the song It's not quite tomnomnom91 to Not Anyone. to Someone Else's Cocaine to Everyone to Not Anyone., so I think they're a bit fast and seem weak as a result, but I don't think they're so bad! Z J
I think they're a bit fast and seem weak as a result, but I don't think they're so bad! Yeah I'm kind of anal about that song live. Billie just seemed a tad out of the pocket and it bothered me to no end. The AAF DVD version is wonderful
The Disappearing Boy
'ZJ'? What in the name of everloving fuck is going on? And Tom, you still can't top me when it comes to mind-bending name changes.

I always was curious what the act of "sappearing" as opposed to "dissappearing" was.

Guest
just remembered that i've never actually watched/listened to awesome as fuck... oops You should at least listen to it, it's got a lot of great, non-AI songs on it
Jollyroger118
You're all hella crazy cause I love BIAB, especially the CD since I've listened to it way more than the watched the DVD. But there's moments in that album that are totally rallying and whatever and then moments that are so tender I could cry. I love when he sings Nobody Likes You at the end of KFAD and that version of Wake Me Up is my favorite one. And Boulevards amazing on that album and it has my favorite version of Good Riddance ever. The only song I don't really like on it is Basket Case but I cant quite place why. But BIAB has a lot more personality and dynamics and depth and AAF is just them playing the songs live and that's exactly what it sounds like.

The Disappearing Boy
Watch the beginning of it (before the first song starts). It's amusing. I've been meaning to watch it for a couple of years. I definitely got the CD/DVD when it came out, even though I'd seen/heard it all before on youtube. I've just not touched it since then! /badfan

It's a pretty weak performance of Basket Case, not helped by the fact the crowd is far too quiet in the intro. Compared to the version from Reading 2004 it's absolutely pathetic, really. I mean, it's not a bad performance, they've just done it far better, far tighter, and with less fuckups from Billie.

I think having their best-ever Brain Stew performance alongside it makes up for that, though.
The Disappearing Boy
To be fair nothing can compare to the Reading 04 performance of Basket Case. Possibly the best-ever single performance of any Green Day song.
