The Platypus!
I thought the musical was stupid until I went and saw it. You just have to experience it live to understand. #Fangirl This is my thoughts on the trilogy, as soon as you see the songs played live 1,000,000 times better. I respect your right to be completely wrong. Is liking the musical an unpopular opinion? Obviously it's not on par with Green Day but was amazing to see live
Guest
This is my thoughts on the trilogy, as soon as you see the songs played live 1,000,000 times better. Okay now you're just taking the piss. X Kid, the second best trilogy song, was terrible live. They couldn't get the tempo right. Billie Joe never sang Missing You or Brutal Love in tune, and Stop When The Red Lights Flash doubled in length when the only good thing about it on the record was that it was over quickly. Let Yourself Go and Stay The Night were about the same as on the album too.

Missing You and Stop When The Red Lights Flash were also quite good! I don't get how you can say that they aren't better live. Never saw Let Youself Go live unfortunately but I bet it would be much better live than studio recorded
alienlifeform
Can we not throw personal insults at each other over a song please? When you call people "kids and little girls" (as if there's anything wrong with being a kid or a little girl who enjoys whatever music) for liking a song then that tends to irritate people . All kinds of different people like that song, including Green Day themselves, for all kinds of different reasons. No one said you have to like the song, it's just silly to generalize and judge people based on what songs they like, just as it'd be silly for people to judge you for not liking it. as i said.. throw rocks on me.. whatever I say here i'll be always wrong.. other people can insult me with swear words and it's ok.. and i can not state an opinion on the "unpopular opinions thread".. i said 'im trying to explain myself in a foreign language, which is not that easy as you english folks may think.. I'm pretty sure you didin't unsdestand completely my point... whatever, keep on talking shit about my personal opinion in a crappy song

Hermione
I didn't think there was anything wrong with Billie's singing or their playing of the trilogy songs live. One of those observations that only seems to have been made since Billie's rehab, don't remember there being so much scrutiny or any complaints before . He's never been perfect at singing, listen to him trying to do the 21 Guns falsetto on the 21st CB tour. as i said.. throw rocks on me.. whatever I say here i'll be always wrong.. other people can insult me with swear words and it's ok.. and i can not state an opinion on the "unpopular opinions thread".. i said 'im trying to explain myself in a foreign language, which is not that easy as you english folks may think.. I'm pretty sure you didin't unsdestand completely my point... whatever, keep on talking shit about my personal opinion in a crappy song I don't think's ok for people to insult you or anyone else, that's why I posted to ask for personal insults not to be thrown around in response to the gif Lady Nightlife posted and your reply to it. No one is bothered by your opinion of the song, they're only bothered by your judgement of other fans for liking the song. But in any case you don't need to take it personally, the way this thread works is generally that people post their opinions and others comment to agree or disagree, as long as we're not insulting each other we can do that. And let's stop the transcontinental fighting now please

alienlifeform
Hermione told us to stop the transcontinental fighting because she knows that I like to drink the tears of all the poor souls who live in not-America Anyway, yeah, I don't think Alfie is retarded for having an opinion, I think the way he expressed it was really ridiculous. You can't just come in and drop something that's so clearly untrue into a thread and expect not to get mocked bullying is a crime
The Disappearing Boy
Do actually not think so?! https://www.youtube.com/watch? this is the greatest performance of 21 Guns ever done.To be honest, I do quite like the musical version of 21 Guns, just not the musical versions in general. Brutal Love in tune, and Stop When The Red Lights FlashThe Reading version of both these songs were pretty good. Not gonna lie though, I saw so few concert videos from the Trilogy era - maybe those are just the exceptions? Don't ever call me fucking English again.Pfft, I've seen you spell 'arse' before. Your transformation is well on the way. Just follow Graham and you'll be fine.

Spike
What the fuck happened in here?! Anyway yes 21 Guns is decent but doesn't have much replay value. However, it's one of the best live experiences ever.

Libertine Angel
It literally kills me that his quotes are so applicable to so many things because the show isn't well known enough for the majority of readers to get the joke I know what you mean, his anger is so versatile but only the ones who probably already thought of it will get it.
