Currently on a Green Day high and basically in love with every single song they've ever made. Including Nightlife, Amy, Drama Queen, and all of Dos.

Sue me.

Even Take Back?

Take Back is fakkin rad, c'mon.

[edit] how am i now just finding out that the phrase "cold cocked" has nothing to do with his dick? song ruined.

wait you're the one that doesn't like screamy vocals, right? Well, with some people it doesn't feel good to hear stuff like that

it's okay. I just think it's a silly song because it's like "awe looks how cute the Beej is, trying to sound all scary but failing"

But I mean 7 years later I like death metal so...maybe there's the influence :D

Yeah, I'm the one who doesn't like screamy vocals, so that explains it.

I always thought Take Back was a kind of toungue-in-cheek angry song rather than a serious attempt to sound like a death metal band.

I agree with Hermione - it's not like he hasn't used that snarl at other times. It's still cute.

He's always cute, but occasionally the songs are sucky. Take Back is one of the few.

ehh, there's no room to compare Dookie and Warning Drums, don't play the instrument, just play the song, and warning has all great songs.

When comparing drums to drums I will most definitely be listening for the drums in the songs.

I should say my opinion of Tre (the album, not the person) has improved over these last two months. To be honest/blunt I still think The Forgotten is a wasted potential (read: shitty), but I'm warming up to most of the other songs. 8th Avenue Serenade in particular.

Though I still prefer the demo version of 99 Revolutions. That was punchy; the final version on the other hand is a tad too 'tidy'.

Take Back is fakkin rad, c'mon.

If there were more people like you the world would be at peace.

I mean, I like Take Back. But then again, I also like Rest (though most everyone seems to loathe that), so I'm probably against the grain here.

Nimrod is probably their most technical drumming album, actually :P

99 Revolutions on Demolicious is definitely much better. And I don't have anything against Rest, but it's near the bottom of my list of Green Day songs.

Only silly billys dislike Rest.

I'll listen out for that next time I listen to Nimrod. I'm just a huge AI fan boy. I like the drumming in Homecoming and Give Me Novacaine in particular, and even though it's not technical stuff, the drums just sound so punchy and cool. Great mixing/production.

Especially look out for it on Haushinka and Reject. Those songs are mental.
