Blasphemy & Genocide: Unpopular Green Day Opinions, Part 2

You are working under the assumption that they haven't done anything. None of us have any idea what they have been doing behind our backs. :)

I think its safe to say with Billie playing actor and Mike being busy with his wife being sick and the recent Jason diagnosis the band isn't doing anything. I could be wrong but can't see it.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to think of that generic hard rock music with nonsensical lyrics

Well I'm hardly going to value your opinion if you don't even know the difference between thrash metal and hard rock, am I?

I would hardly call that thrash but okay.

I honestly don't see how you could call it anything else, least of all "generic hard rock".

Meh it was garbage. wasn't worth more than 10 seconds of my time moving on.

Music is purely subjective if someone has a different opinion no need to get all ass hurt and say they have terrible taste but okay if thats how you roll.

 No more bickering please.

Dead Mermaids is quite funny and the music is decent though not my favourite style. Have to hear more songs first but I don't think it'll ever be up there with most of the others for me just because of the style and also because it's a bit one dimensional, I know Foxboro Hot Tubs is a 60s parody and The Network is an 80s parody but there seems to be more to them than just purely being a silly over the top parody, especially in the lyrics. Foxboro Hot Tubs and Pinhead Gunpowder are the best side projects.

Those are the only things I agree with in that post. :toocool:

Even The Network being an 80s parody? 80s new wave specifically but still 80s. To quote their official website:

The Network is the future and if it so happens that the future is the 1980’s so be it. The Network asks you, have we really progressed since then? And the answer is NO!
