Billie only had the meltdown because he realised how shit it was and knew they'd have to go on an impromptu 19th Anniversary Dookie Tour.

Quite ironic when you think about it.

"Am I just paranoid? Am I just stoned?"

Jeez idk, can I ask the audience?

Not sure how anyone thinks Billie was absolutely content while making the Trilogy.....remember the whole meltdown and rehab thing that happened before it even came llie was absolutely content while making the Trilogy.....remember the whole meltdown and rehab thing that happened before it even came out?!

Yeah, I know, but I wasn't referencing the Trilogy, only Tom's comment. You can rarely make a masterpiece if you are absolutely content but you can be discontent as hell and still make shite art :P

I still love Tre (the album) though.

The trilogy was written before the meltdown.

No, he's just Billie. (Smart-aleck-y)

Dammit, I've wasted my Just William joke.

The trilogy was written before the meltdown.

Nobody who's ok writes lyrics like Makeout Party, so one can argue the process that led to the meltdown had already started when he wrote those songs :P

Yeah, but it seems unlikely that it was all sunshine and roses directly up until that point. Especially as there's a variety of darker lyrics on the albums that would indicate it wasn't. But Sauli wasn't actually saying it was anyway so my point wasn't particularly relevant.

Read: nobody who doesn't have a berserk sex drive.

It's official: Billie was horny when he made the songs in Dos. ...Gosh I don't know what I'm even typing anymore.

Not horny, dirty-minded.

The trilogy was written before the meltdown.

It's not like the meltdown happened on September 21st, 2012. It was a whole process that started, most likely, months or even years before.

And Ha Ha You're Dead!

And of course "Do Da Da" is one I forgot to mention. Perfect song for marriage. (Maybe)

The meltdown was not a process. Things led up to it. Those are causes, not meltdowns.

It always seemed to me that the process started when he stopped doing theater.

All in all, the conclusion is that the best thing that could happen is if Mike wrote the lyrics for their next album instead of Billie the Horny.

Mike is a far better lyricist than he ever gets credit for anyway, so yes.
