Granted, it doesn't make an awful lot of sense, but its sound isn't too bad. Nightlife just isn't my thing at all, only narrowly beating Take Back for the worst Green Day song ever. But...but...Nightlife is awful! The Forgotten is a bit pretentious, but Nightlife...Nightlife! Nightlife is bad, but it does get some marks. It's got a good bass line. The rap is alright. The music/instrumentation is alright. It also shows that Green Day can try their hand at pretty much any genre and do it fairly well. I just don't particularly like rap/garage music. Since they're recorded on a computer mic/phone there's only so much I can do. I know what I'm doing when they're recorded with a proper microphone.
