Blasphemy & Genocide: Unpopular Green Day Opinions, Part 2

Nightlife is a good song.

Y'know, I actually agree. It has a solid bassline, catchy chorus and it was a totally different direction for Green Day. I would say its better than songs like "Lazy Bones" and "The Forgotten".

Having a bull moose shit on your face while you're tied to an anthill and your eyes have been gouged out is better than "The Forgotten", so that's not saying much. :P

My feelings towards nightlife can be summed up by saying that I dislike other songs more, which isn't much praise really! But to say it's better than Lazy Bones is just blasphemy.

And genocide?

Seriously though, Nightlife is easily the best song on Dos, which isn't saying much.

Stray Heart is too damn catchy not to be the best song on Dos. (I know I know "but it's the same as Mother Mary!!) I don't care, it's far more polished, the vocals are 100x better.

Nah, not for me. Lazy Bones. But yeah, it doesn't have much competition.

The Fuck Time solo makes it my favorite. I think (I haven't listened to Dos for about a year, so I can't be sure).

I do like Fuck Time too actually. The solo in Cuatro just makes the Dos version a bit underwhelming, sadly.

I still haven't seen Cuatro, so I'm blissful in my ignorance.

My only problem is that you have the mixing skills necessary to do a remix but you haven't already.

Also do a version of Panic Song without the shit ending plz.

I've never once felt any kind of enjoyment when listening to "Lazy Bones". Something just feels off, but I can't quite point it out.

Well it's certainly a better use of an hour and a half than listening to the trilogy's worst songs. It's actually quite interesting, though it could have shown more of the recording process though. You should definitely watch it on youtube if it's still on there.

Those are easily the worst 3 of the trilogy anyways :P

Haha bad examples. I also think it's better than "Carpe Diem", "Let Yourself Go", "Sweet 16", "Stop When the Red Lights Flash", "Wild One", "Drama Queen", "Walk Away" and "Dirty Rotten Bastards". I don't suppose this is a very convincing argument either.

It saddens me that there are people in the world who aren't sophisticates, intelligent and handsome enough to appreciate Lazy Bones :( I shall pray to RBS for you all tonight

Yeah the solo is pretty awesome, so is the chorus riff. It's just a shame about the stupid lyrics.

But it's not like the lyrics were meant to be anything other than stupid. It's a joke song

It saddens me that people still enjoy Lazy Bones. It was cool when it was on Green Day Angry Birds.
