Guest
I don't even know what that means in context. The only thing he says in the last 30 seconds is "I wanna drop out"
Spike
The only thing he says in the last 30 seconds is "I wanna drop out" I've always heard it as "I wanna jump out," so that's... interesting.
DookieLukie
I've always heard it as "I wanna jump out," so that's... interesting. It is "jump out." Plus, it's not even a chorus. It's just a short ending.
Spike
It is "jump out." Plus, it's not even a chorus. It's just a short ending. Good point, the chorus is "the world is a sick machine" etc.
JOE THE X-KID
I think Panic song contains Green Days best lyrics. And I always thought the "I wanna drop out" part was referring to him leaving the world or escaping from it. But c'mon how can you not enjoy " There's a plague inside of me, eating at my disposition"
grene cniht
I've always heard it as "I wanna jump out" too.
Hermione
Whatever he's saying at the end (and fucked if I know, can't make out a word of it) I doubt it's about dropping out of high school, judging by the rest of the lyrics. Although I think the complaint is probably more about the repetitive nature of the lyrics.
Sauli
I don't like Panic Song musically. The lyrics are good but musically it isn't very good.
The Disappearing Boy
I've always heard 'I wanna jump out', which makes much more sense in context.

It's musically one of the best things they've ever done. Very simple but it's an awesome arrangement.

Todd
Yeah, Insomniac has great lyrics. No Pride, Panic Song, even Brain Stew "past the point of delirium" is pretty cool!
Z J
And still their best album lyrically. Oo slipped that in there. I think it's 2nd. AI's lyrics, especially in the context of the era, have to be first. Holiday, AI, JOS, and BOBD are all legend-level lyrical works IMO. No Pride is so damn good lyrically but people don't seem to notice b/c Billie slurs so hard in it. I've panhandled for a life becauseI'm not afraid to begHand me down your lost and foundsOf second hand regret Genius^ (as is the rest of it)
