Spike
Anyone who can do Frank Sinatra, The Doors, Queen, Boyz II Men, Iron Maiden AND Slipknot in one sitting has gotta be cool. The bit that really got me was how he went into the rap then suddenly dropped RHCP on us. Had me in stitches. Can you imagine that in Nightlife?

walking_c0ntradicti0n
I think it would have fit in better if there was another Mike part in the song. To me it's really random that they insert him for just that line. Plus, I really don't like Mike's voice. get the fucking hell out of here... Spike
Nah, it'd be too intense for Billie to handle. See it just made me imagine the Chilis performing the Trilogy, and combined with Praxus viewing this thread right now I'm worried we have another parody album on our hands. Cheap champagne stain down in California Hope there's more in your pants than in Frusciante's sock, yeah!
Jessie Armstrong
I love the trilogy from front to back. I don't dislike one Green Day song. yeah some are better than others, but fuck it. it's Green Day. That being said I think Dookie is overrated. Does that mean I don't like it? hell no i love it. If I say that I don't like a Green Day song, I still like it, just far below any other Green Day song

Spike
Turkey Sub's head in that gif is the most damn mesmerising thing I've ever seen.
Sauli
I hate that mid-piece of Holiday. I see its point and relevance and all but it bores me.
Hermione
So it's cool to hate former-one-of-the-most-loved-trilogy-songs (and pretty sure it genuinely wasn't only "tacky people") DRB now? Fine be that way , I still really like it. Also that bit in Holiday is fucking awesome! Actual blasphemy is being posted here. I think it would have fit in better if there was another Mike part in the song. To me it's really random that they insert him for just that line. Plus, I really don't like Mike's voice. I like the randomness, it's a cool and interesting little surprise. I think it was a fun thing to do to just have him popping up and singing that random line instead of going the more conventional and predictable route of giving him a verse, there'd almost be less point to that since the surprising/different aspect would be gone. Shall add it to the list behind The Hunger Kay, Shakespearean GDC Insults, and White Tim-mas.

Only trilogy song that was over-hyped worse was Brutal Love...

klytaemnestra
at the very least, the opening of DRB live would be amazing. it's right up green day's alley, a bit call-and-response and very anthem-y.or sort of i dunno i just got back from the pub so i'm not exactly sober.or the bit that starts at about 2:00 would be really good live (i'm listening to it now) (except julianna homicide oh god)
Steven Seagull
I always see DRB as Christmas song. And for some reason I always imagine a bunch of people marching up the hill with a skull flag from the trilogy box in a slow motion at 4:23 of the song

It's such a Christmassy melody, and "this is the season" in the lyrics doesn't exactly help!

Spike
Oh come now, the middle section would be awesome and you know it. Yeah, that was just related to the whole "will they, won't they" from when they were on tour and every night went by without them playing it. Not a conversation I want to get involved with again
Stefano Bras
I agree (except for that stupid Julianna Homicide bit) - also your signature contains one of the greatest gifs I have ever seen. I agree its not that good but it is still enjoyable.. Thanks! hahahah, its glorious
Sauli
I have been slowly but steadily approaching the point when I'm ready to state that in my opinion Westbound Sign is the absolute highlight of Insomniac. Don't ask me why, but that song affects me quite a lot.
