Anaïs.
I will say I've gotten to the point where I unironically enjoy Dominated Love Slave, so there's that.
AlissaGoesRAWR
After listening to it for a while, I think I can safely say I think Demolicious is the best thing they've released since American Idiot... If they took State of Shock, Ashley and Oh Love off of it and substituted X-Kid, Lazy Bones and Amanda it'd be damn near perfect for me... maybe switch Stop When the Red Lights Flash and Fuck Time for Little Boy Named Train and Makeout Party, too. I'd like to hear both with the new guitars. But yeah, condense the trilogy down to those songs and basically you realize how much the rest is basically garbage. Especially with that shitty mixing.

Funky Kong
Heres something that's going to rustle some Jimmies but its my honest opinion. Billie Joe as been a self centered ass who thinks the band is all about him ever since the end of the AI tour. The fame went to his head. (The height of this was during the 21CB Tour, he's gotten a bit better lately.)

I'm hopelessly in love with the dude and I'll admit he comes off as a complete jackass most of the time.

Like I said, don't get me wrong, I think he's one of the most beautiful creatures on the planet and I'd do anything for him to acknowledge that I exist, but yeah... total douche bag. Maybe that's part of the appeal.

Funky Kong
Care to be more specific? But yeah, there are times when Billie's acted too dickish. Just his entire stage presence and gestures seems as if he's saying "Hey Guys pay no attention to the other band members you're here to see me" I can't really explain it much beyond that. Hermione
Just his entire stage presence and gestures seems as if he's saying "Hey Guys pay no attention to the other band members you're here to see me" I can't really explain it much beyond that. Hasn't it always been that way a bit though? An example being Tre singing his one song during a Dookie show and Billie no being able to let the attention be off himself for even one minute and coming back on stage with his pants down to get the attention back on himself in the style of a toddler . He's always been a cheeky attention seeker on stage, he just makes a bigger thing of it now that they do a bigger/grander performance. I think it's mostly tongue in cheek though, he has fun jokingly playing the rock star and is a natural frontman who commands the crowd's attention and makes the show an amazing and interactive experience because of it. If he toned it down and just played and sang along with the others it wouldn't be such a fun show! But even with all that the others still get their moments as well, when I go to see them I see plenty of Mike and Tre interacting with the crowd and getting their chances to show off and get the attention, even to the point of Billie introducing each of them to make sure. Doesn't feel like it's just the Billie show when you're there in the crowd at all. Most of all I really don't think you can judge his personality from how his is on stage. It's a performance and he's doing his job as frontman of the band.

Mike's backing vocals have been so mixed to the point that he is not even audible and its just Billie Harmonizing with himself. (Save the one line in Sex, Drugs and Violence. Green Day have no had proper backing vocals since AI. (21CB was not as bad as the Trilogy in terms of unaudible Mike/Jason but he was mixed very heavily.) Their musical style has changed and that might mean it's less equal guitar, bass and drums, and more guitar being the lead instrument and others backing it, especially on more stadium rock type albums like AI and 21st CB. I don't think you can put musical changes down to his personality unless there's additional info that says that's the reason for it, it might be choices made by the whole band purely for musical reasons. I think its safe to say Billie Joe has near 100% creative control of the band based on the fact that what 6 songs or so are not written by him in their entire discography. That's almost nothing in the grand scheme of things.

That's almost nothing in the grand scheme of things. Mike and Tre writes their part of the music it's not like Billie writes all the music and lyrics Who really knows how much Mike write lyrics? And as far as Tre we haven't really seen a real serious song from him I don't think what we seen from his songs would have fit anywhere on 21st The trilogy yeah but maybe but I also don't think Tre is all that much into writing or singing like that in all the side bands he's ever been involved in he has stayed the drummer where as Mike has The Frustraters (and Network if we count them) where he sings I could be wrong but also I doubt Billie going "we are doing my songs and my songs only fuck y'all if u have songs" either... That's not cool.
