Blasphemy & Genocide: Unpopular Green Day Opinions, Part 2

No idea, listening to it on headphones it seems to be coming out of both channels, so who knows.

I thought one channel was the dry signal and the other was just reverb. But I can't remember which way around it is and I don't want to have to listen to that song to find out :P

I thought the left channel was Billie and the Right was Jason? I dunno, but I'm sure you can hear the guitar switching over in Nightlife when the last verse comes on. But really I have no clue.

I thought DRB was Jason.

Knowledge is pretty poor unless it's this version.

Does anyone else want to throttle Billie when he says "The last and final ingredient"? Good God, man.

Wrong

Nah—the vocals are obnoxious, and the swing Green Day adds to it is much appreciated.

While it's miles better than Green Day's studio version, Jesse can't sing for shit. That's why I prefer Green Day doing it Op. Ivy style. Best of both worlds.

Green Day's live version is the only good one. It needs the swing, the bassline, the brass and the tempo to be any kind of decent song, and then it's fabulous.

ANYWAY, I am actually starting to like 21CB. It's growing on me :3

Wrong

The vocals are grating.

I agree that the GD live version at echoplex where they play it normally is indeed the best by far.

I think the solos on 1039/smooth and Kerplunk are obnoxious. They're fine when you're listening to a couple albums on shuffle or something but listening through and hearing the same blues wank on every track is kinda annoying.

Agreed. But then I take into account that Billie was a plucky young teenager having fun with his new found guitar skills and that it was the era of hair metal bands and obnoxious guitar solos of one kind or another in most songs on the radio, and suddenly they're endearing instead of annoying.

I love Demolicious! And I'm not huge on the trilogy. But honestly my favorite is Stay The Night acoustic. And I know it's pretty shitty cause the first time I listened to it I was like "what the fuck?" but today I listened to it and then I relistiened to it like twelve times over. I cant exactly say why but I really love it. Anyone else?

Stay the Night Acoustic is beautiful and if anyone disagrees they can go die.

Any particular way for me to die in mind?
