AlissaGoesRAWR
The demo version is so much better than the album version. It has such a dark, sinister mood. The production ruins the trilogy version. There's a surprise. Disagree about Ashley. The lack of the bridge verse used in the studio version really kills the demo. It's pretty boring and repetitive, actually.

Oxymore
Based on the conversations and arguments in this thread, you guys might find this entertaining.http://www.buzzfeed.com/perpetua/how-much-of-a-music-nerd-are-you ''✓ Insisted that a demo version of a song was better than the finished studio version? Hermione
Post above not included, let's end the talk about the fangirls thread and stick to unpopular Green Day opinions please. The demo version is so much better than the album version. It has such a dark, sinister mood. The production ruins the trilogy version. There's a surprise. I like the album version more because it's more energetic and less repetitive, and just sounds better overall. But I do really like the sinister mood in the demo as well, the way he slurs the "You led me to the well..." part is great. Glad we have both!

The solo in there does break it down a bit. For me the demo wins hands down when it comes to sound, though.

Asa.
Am I the only one who doesn't care about the original intro to Amanda? I didn't even realize it was gone the first 3 or 4 times I listened to the song. It wasn't really THAT good.
walking_c0ntradicti0n
Beezey I miss her. SORRY so late to the conversation, yes unpopular opinions. I can forgive repetitiveness and boringness on demos because they're demos, but on actual songs on the album? Fuck's sake, get it together. Also, LBNT is not magically somehow better in its demo form, it's still a horrendous song. LBNT is too fuckin slow on demolicious, album speed was fine

I didn't even realize it was gone the first 3 or 4 times I listened to the song. It wasn't really THAT good. The original intro gives a different feel to the song. I don't know which one I prefer. Honestly, that song is really underrated.
Anaïs.
Honestly, that song is really underrated. Strangely enough, I agree; the vocal filters and clean guitars are still annoying, but it's probably in my top five Trilogy songs. Not that that's saying much, as only one Trilogy song is in my top forty Green Day songs.

Anaïs.
Which one is that? I'm curious Brutal Love cracks the top forty. Top five for the Trilogy are Brutal Love, Dirty Rotten Bastards, Oh Love, Amanda and Nuclear Family. Kill the DJ would make it if it had heavier guitars, but as is, alas.

DookieLukie
My top five (taken from my statistical ranking of the Trilogy) is Brutal Love, Nuclear Family, X-Kid, Stay the Night, and Missing You.
munns6691
Please explain! I think it's one of the worst songs on Tre, but when I view it in the context of the Trilogy as a whole there are tons of others that beat it (in my opinion). 99 Revolutions is much better in Demolicious form.
