Heather.
I'm excited for the idea of a trailer until I actually see it and inevitably have to go "Oh Billie!" when I am slapped with the reality that he is no Daniel Day Lewis Still excited and definitely optimistic that his acting has, slowly but surely, improved from laughable to at least passable

Hero_Of_The_Hour
Ugghh...I am starting to get an ugly feeling about this. It is way too familiar to me (My aunt, uncle and two cousins died with cancer within a few years and I have another cousin going through it now). It's so horrible watching them suffer this and Mike's post tonight sent shivers down my spine. It's deja vu and about time I stopped following Mike/Britt for a while I think as it's all a little too close for comfort. I seriously am praying for that poor family right now

I think for many of us there's that denial or disbelief ...like so many people beat cancer, especially beat breast cancer, that it's inconceivable that she won't beat it, but I get what you mean
R_Z-Log
My mother in law passed away two weeks ago after fighting cancer for almost five years. This picture Mike posted tonight made my stomach turn because it's just all too close to home. But that's why he's posting things like this! They are not alone in their fight, just like we are not alone in ours. It's simultaneously heartbreaking and inspiring. Sending good vibes to Mike, Britt, and everyone else fighting their own private battles.
Hero_Of_The_Hour
I feel ya. I think for many of us there's that denial or disbelief ...like so many people beat cancer, especially beat breast cancer, that it's inconceivable that she won't beat it, but I get what you mean I do believe it's vital to be positive if possible but unfortunately for me I've personally witnessed four deaths from four different types of cancers (and now another suffering through yet another different type) and I've learned among other things that often what is termed as "beating cancer" is surviving five years after a diagnosis which is imo pathetic if a person is in their late 20's or early 30's (like my cousins were). Technically one of them was classified a surviver as he lived seven years after he was diagnosed...then died at 35 So I guess maybe there are ideas out there that are overly positive and maybe that's a good thing in a way. Who needs all the doom and gloom? In a lot of ways I wish I were clueless to a lot of stuff to do with cancer believe me. Ignorance truly is bliss. Guest
I do believe it's vital to be positive if possible but unfortunately for me I've personally witnessed four deaths from four different types of cancers (and now another suffering through yet another different type) and I've learned among other things that often what is termed as "beating cancer" is surviving five years after a diagnosis which is imo pathetic if a person is in their late 20's or early 30's (like my cousins were). I know two ladies who got breast cancer diagnoses, went through the treatment like Britt is doing, came through fine, and are going strong, having left the disease far behind. My own brother got cancer as a kid, went through terrible treatments, was actually given just a few weeks to live, but pulled through and is doing fine as well. Yes, people die of cancer. Yes, "beating cancer" technically = surviving five years after diagnosis. But, it's possible for people to not only survive cancer but to thrive after it's over and it's really important to keep that in mind for Britt. She's young, she has the resources to fight this as hard as possible, she appears to have a really great support system and positive attitude (which is often just as important as being able to get treatments). She seems to have everything going for her here, so I'm going to choose to believe she will beat this until there's irrefutable evidence to the contrary. However, I can certainly empathize with how you're feeling. It's understandable that you might want to step away from this, seeing how deeply cancer has affected your life and the lives of people you care about. Iva
I agree. If it triggers you, don't look at it. Why hurt yourself? I've seen equal number of women who survived and who did not make it. Only in last 12 months, one made out of it and the other got a metastasis on the brain and passed away.
