(Adorable to know he's still thinking of things to be thankful for more than a week after the fact...)

Tis very sweet - he's probably just now able to look back on it fully.

Looks like his Insta profile pic is now him in the studio. . .

Yup! I'm pretty sure those pics surfaced before the Cleveland show though, when they were rehearsing again.

Guys Billie's profile picture looks identical (clothing and room layout) to the photo in Rolling Stone from the rehearsals for the HOF so I wouldn't be freaking out about the studio.

Jim Leatherman

"This was about six to eight months before Dookie came out. There's this little club that holds maybe 50 people, but about 150 were in it in the middle of January -- so it was chilly out but hot inside. Every two or three shots I had to wipe off the lens because it kept fogging up," Leatherman recalls. "The kids were diving and there was a really low ceiling that they were kicking the ceiling tiles out."

Never-before-seen image of Green Day performing at Club Nowhere in Orlando, Fla., in 1992.

I feel like immediately after the ceremony he was like, "Shit, I really should've written a speech."

I know, right? It seems so easy to think "oh, a few talking points will be OK" but even if there's a small crowd in front of me I usually blank. I can't imagine how nervous he was for this! When he said he didn't write a speech I about shit myself. I think you can hear me in the video my husband took saying something along the lines of "oh shiiiiit."

But still, seeing him make these follow-up posts is very encouraging because it shows he's still thinking about this, how seriously he takes it, and how much it means to him. I really think the entire band left Ohio super inspired and humbled by the entire experience. I'm very proud of my home state.

Yes!!! Cleveland is good for something after all!

But in all seriousness, the look on his face while he was playing at the induction ceremony was like a little kid living out his dreams. Even at the end of Basket Case he hollered "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, baby!!!" and it was equally adorable and embarrassing. You can just tell by looking at them and their demeanor how excited they all are about it, and about the overwhelming amount of support from their fans and other musicians alike.

Everytime I see them and Billie in particular, play at an event with other artists, he always seems to feel so out of place. IT is almost like he is fanboying for all his favorite artists. He doesn't seem to realize how much respect he is given by his peers. It really is adorable.
