I like to collect high res pictures and sometimes I see one that's really cool and then I zoom in and it's not the quality I was looking for. I'm pretty much always using a laptop when I'm on GDC and I like to zoom in all the way on photos to check the resolution. The quality worsens every time a photo is saved and reposted, especially if it has been saved from Instagram or Facebook. They can really wreck photos even if you upload the original. That's one of many reasons it annoys me when people repost my photos over and over - the quality gets worse each time and it makes it look like my photos weren't great to begin with. 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm just picky that way. 😅 I think as well photographers often resize pictures so we don't get the best quality. Partly to discourage people from taking them (obviously they want us to buy them). The resolution is deliberately decreased so people can't print the photos in full quality - bootlegs if you like.
