A lot of people who i know, who saw green day at Reading said they were shit. NO. :(

i don't think they were shit but they weren't at their best for sure. but after the rehab it was an acceptable performance imo.

I personally thought they were brilliant as per usual, maybe not their greatest performance but still great

I love some of the changes Green Day when they re-recorded the American Idiot instrumentals for the Broadway Cast Recording. I'd love to see those new arrangements with Billie's vocals over the top. I love the original versions though

The Brain Stew video started giving me nightmares after the first time I saw it back in 2004, and it still does. I don't know what it is.

it always reminded me of the video in "the ring"

I have a gut feeling Green Day is going to play a surprise show tonight. But don't quote me on that.

that would be pretty cool! maybe it's the reason why billie took the airplane yesterday but it still doesn't mean anything. :P

It makes me feel strange when BJ puts his finger in his ear during the JMS idk why. (it's the random thoughts thread, ok??)

This line has been in my head all day.

Say your prayers and light a fire, we're going to start a war

His voice is so damn good on it I get chills every time I hear it, and then the strings that swoop in after. Damn.

Poor you

It makes me feel like Tre is a bit aside from the guys since a few months. No hint in here, but just a random thought I have.

He always has been, really; he'll never be able to be a part of the Lennon-McCartney thing Mike and BJA had going.

I tried listening to Wild One today. It did not go well. I just... I can't. It's actually physically painful. I've only ever had that feeling for one other song before, and that was a goddamn war requiem.

I finally have somewhere to post this. My friend had a really bad Ambien addiction (and is currently relapsing, going to rehab). He's just as big of a Green Day fan as anyone here (but doesn't have an account) and is positive that's what Billie was addicted to from the signs. A little more confirmation and time frame idea is that in October I saw Taking Back Sunday and talked to Adam Lazzara after the show about opening up for them at Milton Keynes. He said he was super nervous on stage and flying, so Billie gave him a few Ambien. Just thought I'd share that.

This post is so dramatic lol. The Trilogy inducing physical pain? Where's Ceadog?

Eh, it's true. The reason I made such a big deal of it was because it's such a rare thing. The fact that my favourite band can bring that out of me is bizarre.
