Libertine Angel
So I actually have a friend that knows of more than just American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown. On his phone, he has those two albums, Tre, Oh Love, Amy, and Espionage.... Weird combination, huh? Their Halloween show at Webster Hall in 2011 was pretty fuckin sick, you should watch the cuatro footage of it again. I hope they put on another Halloween show like that. It's always good when you find out your friend's an Idiot. I converted a friend once - he'd only heard AI and 21CB, so I told him to listen to Dookie, and he loved it enough to get everything (illegally for free, which annoyed me a bit because I don't approve of that, but to each their own). Beerjeezus
I wish they played "Uptight" acoustic.
Libertine Angel
I wish they played "Uptight" acoustic. I can imagine Billie doing it in the same way as he did Stay the Night on the end of Demolicious and it'd be great.

loveblondiebilliejoe
My great aunt and uncle own the Professional Drum Shop in Hollywood,Ca and Tre is a regular customer there. So my mom got a phone call today from my grandpa and told her that Tre came into the shop the other day and took a picture with my uncle for a photo wall in the shop! Not fair!!!!??My grandpa even went to Tres party some years ago when I was really little. The great part is that my grandpa knows how much im a green day fan now so he said that he would try to tell his brother(my great uncle) an autograph from him!!!! Hopefully Tre comes through!☺ *super excited screams* Crap, what if Billie Joe or Mike have ever came in the shop too??
DookieLukie
In "Give me Novacaine," Billie says "Jimmy says it's better than here." I used to here it as "air" instead of "here." I kind of prefer the use of air. It's like Jesus was so addicted and overwhelmed by drugs that they were "like air" or like breathing to him.

loveblondiebilliejoe
I typically don't listen to "See the light", but if I wake up in the middle of the night, I listen to that song until I fall back to sleep. I don't know why but it helps me calm myself. ?
Anaïs.
Every time I listen to Stop Drop and Roll!!! I'm completely taken aback by how utterly fantastic it is. It's a shame it couldn't have been released as an actual Green Day album to give it a bigger platform. (It's also a great Halloween album for whatever reason, so it'll be getting a lot of spins this October.)
Spike
What? Why? Because that's the best line of the song and it turns out I've been getting it wrong for 10 years.
Anaïs.
Because that's the best line of the song and it turns out I've been getting it wrong for 10 years. I always preferred "Better than here", myself. Fits better with the rest of the song, IMHO.
Iva
Because that's the best line of the song and it turns out I've been getting it wrong for 10 years. You and me both. And I believe it's someone's username here, BetterThanAir. O_O

I think the complete opposite tbh I probably always thought it was "better than air" because that fits with the 'novacaine', whatever that is.

Apparently Rob Cavallo isn't capable of doing an internet search for correct spelling. Nah, the whole point of the song is that he's trying to get away from the dirtiness and disillusion of the city, and his own state of mind. Hence "here". Beerjeezus
I refuse to admit I've been wrong for my entire life. Just no. It's "air" pronounced like "here".
The Disappearing Boy
I always heard that line correctly But I still refuse to believe that the line before the solo in that song isn't 'I'll never get high', instead of 'oh novacaine'He absolute pronounces it like air To be fair he also says 'take away the sunsation inside' at the start

Todd
Really? I always knew it was "here". You people need to read the fucking lyric books when you listen to your CDs for the first time.

Every time I listen to it, I'm completely blown away. Even the simple lyrics are so powerful. And it does seem like a Halloween album...why is that? lol
