I haven’t listened to Shenanigans in years honestly, but I listened to it alllll the time when I first got into Green Day. Such a great album! I had the Australian version of Nimrod for quite a while before Shenanigans was released that I think of You Lied and Suffocate Do Da Da and Desensitized as Nimrod tracks it’s still weird to see any of those songs listed as Shenanigans
The 99th revolution
For me it's weird to think of those as Nimrod tracks, I own Shenanigans, an EU 3-song Good Riddance and Brain Stew/Jaded and I don't have much rarities at all come to think of it.

Popular Post The Grohl
Listening to an old interview w/Rolling stone from the RedRad era and some interesting takeaways considering where Green Day are now: The interviewer said he loved the Trilogy and told Billie there were lots of great songs on there that maybe weren't appreciated at the time because of all the content, but will eventually find their audience He was right! Now it's no longer a hot take that the Trilogy is actually good, especially in light of FOAM. But it's really nice to see more folks coming around to it, flaws and all. I really liked the Trilogy when it came out, but started to wonder if it was just my bias at play when so many people came out against it. It's just nice to think about how the Trilogy is perceived now versus its release and even during the RevRad era. Billie also gives love to the trilogy saying they were fun records to make and he loves the songs. Soooooo why don't they pull out a few on tour? Just saying... 👀 Billie says "Gosh" a lot in interviews I noticed all his "Goshes" during recent interviews, but he has a big one here when talking about Still Breathing. Just funny to note because most people talk about his "Y'knows" Billie said Still Breathing isn't only about his rehab I think we all know this, but it was interesting to hear him talk about how he wanted to write a song that could apply to anyone struggling. He said he didn't "want to be greedy" with it. I just thought it was an interesting way to frame that. They talk about the origins of Revolution Radio (the song) and how it was inspired by the Ferguson protests and the start of the Black Lives Matter movement It's just wild how relevant this song is and how it's a topic Billie would talk about again on FOAM in Graffitia when the Black Lives Matter movement really exploded. And one that he would talk about AGAIN on Saviors. It's crazy to think about and it's just sad that really nothing has changed. Billie talks about missing touring, the interviewer said it's their longest break between tours, and Billie described it as being unemployed and questioning your purpose Boy, does this sound weird post COVID! If only Billie knew what was coming... It's a nice listen! Nothing we don't know now but it's kind of nice to look back at the RevRad era via this interview and see what's changed and what hasn't. I just really loved the observations about the trilogy because it was spot on! Check it out here if you want to listen: 9

It makes me wonder if it’s something he picked up from Adrienne because it sounds very sweet and Minnesotan to me. 1
The 99th revolution
I hereby solemnly admit that black-haired Billie is the best imo. Also I think I think I deciphered a few lyrics off What About Today "[unintelligible] stupid fucker, [insert Billie screaming] ol' boy now" "[unintelligible] what about today, [unintelliglble] I wanna see your face, [unintelligible] it's all conspiracy"

It's like Billie you have a potty mouth, yet things like "oh gosh!" is just a normal part of his vernacular. As someone who also swears like a sailor yet uses words like "malarkey" I can relate 1
The 99th revolution
I am like 5 sailors combined. I swear too much for the human brain to handle. It'll become stew within the next 15 minutes. 1-day blinding brain stew.

jengd
I’ve always thought his “goshes” are hilarious, I feel like he worked hard a few years ago to clean up his language and it’s natural now. I’ve done the same but seem to say “holy moley” or worse (?) “cheesie peeps” which I picked up from a colleague 😂😂

I remember being taken aback by how good the drums and backing vocals sounded during this song. Same thing when they played Brutal Love! It was at the beginning of the trilogy tour after Billie’s rehab so I think the energy of this show was very unique when compared to the others. I also remember someone brought a cardboard cutout of Justin Bieber and another fan knocked his head off. The dude who brought it was like “seriously?” Lol 4

That Dude
Absolutely love the Green Dudes podcast, but Connores....I was screaming at the stereo as you guys said "computer room" instead of "office" so many times. 😄 There were other thoughts and comments I had, but since I'm always driving when listening, I never remember the email to reach Green Dudes. Are you guys doing every Green Day song in existence? @Clockwise 1

I just asked the other Connor about this one, this is what he had to say: "Depends on the room, I’d say all offices are computer rooms but not all computer rooms were offices. Like your computer room was definitely NOT an office." & yes we will 100 percent be covering every Green Day song in existence. Come hell or high water.

This and it's cassette tape video should have taken tv and radio in 2013. #1 song , #1 video. Just epic.

GreenDayJunkie86
Do any of you guys know who Shuttlecraft is? He plays Green Day songs live and he does a thing where he covers one Green Day song a day (from the beginning of course). He does an amazing job! I believe Billie posted Shuttlecraft on his Instagram before. He also makes his own music as well! If you guys don't know who I am talking about go check him out on YouTube or Tiktok! This is not an advertisement lol, just a random Green Day thought. PS: I am not Shuttlecraft

solongfromthestars
I am uncovering many weird and wonderful things in my quest to upload all the digital Green Day stuff I've collected over the years to the GDA Tumblr. Today's discovery is this 2010 relic from when we were trying to work out the lyrics to Oh Girl.
The 99th revolution
Damn I wonder if Oh Girl ever ended up as a trilogy outtake like Dreamcatcher, some may doubt, but some theorize.
