The 99th revolution
Same here. It deserved spotlight in Hella Mega as it was a major staple for the AI, 21CB and RevRad tours.
The 99th revolution
The opening riff to the Misfits' cover of Monster Mash sounds like something off of Dookie
Popular Post The Grohl
Here's something I didn't know...Corey Taylor covered Pulling Teeth! Kind of funny considering how much Billie hates Slipknot 2
The 99th revolution
Corey also covered She and Good Riddance. Awesome musician to be honest, since nu-metal is definitely my favorite subgenre of metal.

The 99th revolution
On 2/9/2024 at 11:05 AM, That Dude said: I've got a list of Green Day songs that I'm trying to confirm to be fake. Have you guys ever heard even a single note of the following songs? 1. A Boy Named Tre Cool 2. Don’t Look Away 3. Dream 4. F!@# You 5. Fell For Snoo 6. Can’t Make Love 7. I’ll Make You Surrender (Not the trilogy song) 8. I’m a Loser 9. Jezebel (not the trilogy song) 10. Let’s Party 11. Miss July 12. Mystery Girl (not the trilogy song) 13. Rossini Finale 14. Slayer Reprise 15. Take Away My Heart 16. Taringa! 17. Too Young To Die (not Too Young from the American Idiot sessions or Too Dumb to Die) 18. Trippin With Tre (Piano and drum solo) 19. Walk Away (Not the Tre song OR the Cigerretes and Valentines song) 20. We’re 21. What You Say 22. Why Blink-182 Will Never Be As Good As Green Day 23. With The Funky Rebels 24. You Really Got a Hold On Me 25. You’re Gonna Lose That Girl I figured some of them out! You might have confirmed Don't Look Away by now. Dream is an alternate name to Boudleaux Bryant's All I Have to Do is Dream, I think the name Dream was the one used by the Everly Brothers. And Green Day played a cover of the song in 92. Fuck You is the name to a bootleg live album. Fell for Snoo is an old name to Fell for You. I'll Make You Surrender was an alternate title to Red Lights. Jezebel is an unreleased song which could be Troublemaker. Slayer Reprise could just be an indicator of them playing the riff to Angel of Death twice in a show. Too Young to Die was a fanmade name assigned to Carpe Diem after GD played the Tiki Bar. What You Say was a fanmade name assigned to Stay. You Really Got a Hold On Me, according to setlist.fm archives, was originally performed by some artist I forgot the name of but the editors confused it with the Kinks/Halen song definitely.
Rumpelstiltskin2000
I didn't realise "As tears go by" that Billie played at The Longshot shows was originally a Marianne Faithful song (I knew it was a cover but not whose)
The 99th revolution
I thought that was the B-side to that Stones song Green Day wanted to cover for Nimrod and later C&V... but even then that B-side is definitely a cover (so what I meant was I thought the Stones wrote it) Speaking of Nimrod, I came by a review days ago of the Viper Room show in '97 and there was a song named Jump that they apparently played. Anyone ever heard of this review?

Jump is a Van Halen song so it could have been one of those covers that they just play the first thirty seconds of as a laugh
The 99th revolution
I'm pretty confused because the review I read mentions it as new (at the time) material but you could be correct

Robbie1039
https://youtu.be/M3rCuhG7rfk?si=pjPhapoJVLfMT4KO Damn the Pop Disaster shows have got to be some of my favorite of all-time. They were absolutely on fire, ripping through songs and Billie Joe had morphed into the showman he became for the American Idiot Era. And look at Jason White getting down! You could tell they were giving it their all, especially since they were the first co-headliner. (Also, not sure how to put the video in my post so I just left it as a link. Any help would be appreciated 👌) 1
The 99th revolution
I've heard Poprocks & Coke was played during the tour (confirmed like once by someone but not actually used as a source) and so was No One Knows (not necessarily Pop Disaster but late Warning when they first started playing Maria it was confirmed by two attendees)
The 99th revolution
Ever improvise your own lyrics into GD songs? Sometimes while singing Stuck with Me I improvise "fire in the hole" into the chorus due to the current lobotomy meme thing.

With Let Yourself Go I always stick to ''shut your mouth 'cause you're talking too much and I don't give a fuck anyway'' (Red 7) and ''And I'd rather get fucked in the face '' (Irving Plaza 2012) lines. They're just better and edgier lines than using words ''damn'' and ''punched''.

stories and songs
You Lied randomly popped into my head today. I haven’t listened to Shenanigans in years honestly, but I listened to it alllll the time when I first got into Green Day. Such a great album!
