Almost everyone has tried playing with it I'm going to ask Arty to "write me a song that will make ONE BILLION dollars revenue" Yeah, I just listened to a Green Day podcast where they listened to Here Comes the Shock, and at first they were all positive. Then they listened separately and realized it wasn't very good. What blew my mind was that the podcasters though the chorus was great, but the verses were bad. Like they would have preferred if the entire song was just HERE COME THE SHOCK over an over again. Also, they pointed about that Billie says genocide for some reason in the background, and the overall weirdness that is Billie's word soup here. Screaming truth to power! This ain't music this is genocide! I don't mind Here Come the Shock. Unlike those guys, I feel like a new chorus could transform it into a solid Green Day tune. RedundantIdiot
^ I thought the same thing about So Good Right Now by FOB. I listened to Rev Rad the other day. 2016/2017 were good years for me, and Rev Rad reminds me of this when I listen to it. 2023 has been a good year so far for me- maybe in years to come I'll be listening to 1972 and being reminded of 2023.

I don’t believe any of the stuff they said to you is true Thanks for sure I won't. And sorry for the late reply, been kinda taking a social media break. On 2/26/2023 at 7:52 PM, jengd said: I don’t think that’s creepy at all, most bands have super fans who go to lots of shows and while it may amuse them a little, I think they must like it. If you were stalking them after each show, turning up at their hotel etc, that would be creepy. I don’t believe that stuff that other fan told you re Billie getting fans up on stage, sounds like nonsense to me. Thanks Jen. Appreciate it. Yeah I wasn't understanding how its creepy either, I assume they enjoy fans who go to alot of shows seeing as a big support. I'm in a band too, if I saw someone go to more than 1 show I'd really be happy for the support you know. (New band, we aren't playing out as of yet). And i agree that is creepy idk why some fans do that like give them privacy y'know they are people too. On 2/26/2023 at 8:10 PM, Beerjeezus said: Just block them everywhere you can - they've been annoying everybody in the fandom for the past decade. That said, it's important to have other things in your life than just fandom, not because it's bad to go to a lot of shows, but because going to shows isn't fundamentally in your hands and it's good to have other things that make you happy and that you can keep busy with while the band is on a break. For sure. Thankfully for the next festival GD are playing(the one in July) my other friend I met in September at the FL show is planning on going with me and she is on the same page, doesn't think its creepy or weird to go to alot of shows too☺️. damn that's kinda messed up they've been doing this to other fans for 10+ years🤯 and thanks i will work on finding other things to enjoy on the off seasons of when GD don't have any shows. On 2/26/2023 at 7:55 PM, pacejunkie punk said: It was cruel what that person said to you and completely untrue. Don’t listen to fans that judge other fans, people rely on their favorite bands for all sorts of personal reasons and find it helpful. But if you are using concerts to self medicate instead of therapy, and you really are barely hanging on, might I suggest you consider regular therapy? It could be much more helpful and you could still go to Green Day shows for your own enjoyment, but not as an alternative to mental health care. Good luck. Thank you🙏 On 2/26/2023 at 8:48 PM, Vintage Disciple said: I mean I'm sure we are all a little like that otherwise we wouldn't be here, right? We all relate to Green Day in a much deeper way than any other bands and there is nothing wrong with that. Your soul feels what it feels and nobody can tell you what is normal or not or how many concerts you can attend. I don't think Green Day "hate" any of their fans and I don't think they are ignoring people that go to multiple shows...rather they may be trying to engage with fans that they haven't seen at multiple shows so that everyone feels the love, right? Anyway, I don't know the person you're referencing but I agree with others that they are being downright mean. Very well said. Yes Green Day means so much to us fans. and i agree its good that they try and give all their fans equal treatment💚

It's only creepy if you're showing up at their houses, stalking them, etc. Going to shows is what fans do. When Billie made that comment, it was about people who had to be first row at all the Longshot shows. He wasn't telling people to stop going, just let others have a chance at being up front. And if this person is the same person I'm thinking of, they've been to a million shows up front too. And their comment about Billie picking people that he doesn't like makes no sense. Half the time, he picks kids. I doubt he doesn't like them. @Beerjeezus makes a good point of making sure to have other things in addition to Green Day as well, since you never know when they'll go quiet. As long as you're happy and not hurting anyone, ignore the naysayers. They have their own issues. Thanks. Yeah that is very creepy I hope no fans do that to him or Mike, Tre. i can see why he probably said that for those Longshot shows(i didn't have the chance to go to any shows in 2018/2019) but i did see some clips of Longshot shows posted on YT. They seemed fun and way different than going to a GD show so I can see why Billie did say that bc he probably wanted to give all fans a chance of being that up close at a Longshot show as its a different experience than a GD one. right? Makes no sense why he'd pick a kid but "hate them" and in all the clips i see on YT/ TikTok of fans on stage with him he looks hella happy so even I have no idea why that person had the nerve to say that to me. thank you! I always look forward to meeting other fans at shows, and getting there early to wait in line with them. I'm not gonna let that fans "thoughts" get in the way of this💚 On 2/27/2023 at 4:39 AM, pcj said: Thank you for sharing your feelings, that took a lot of courage. You are not stupid, and you have nothing to be sorry about. Just follow your heart, and go see GD as often as you want and can. Words cannot fully explain that feeling you get each time you see them play. Just enjoy. If anyone tries to put you down coz you love seeing GD they're only jealous of your happiness and haven't got what you have. They're loosing out. Take care. You're welcome and thank you! I appreciate your kind words💚 yes I 100% agree!!! Seeing them each time feels like its the first time ever seeing them again☺️. On 2/27/2023 at 7:00 AM, solongfromthestars said: You aren't the one who sounds stupid – what that person said would be laughable if it hadn't hurt you because it's so ridiculous, but I'm so sorry they were able to get to you. I've said this on here before, but concerts are public events that anyone can attend. Queuing to be up front is something that anyone who's physically able and has the time can do. Of course there are creepy people who do those things, but they're creepy because they do other things (like showing up at hotels/houses/whatever), or because they do it purely to be noticed, not just because they go to lots of shows or queue. There are all kinds of reasons people go to lots of shows and/or want to be up front – maybe they just adore the music or the show, maybe they find it therapeutic, or maybe they're up front because they need to be able to lean on the barrier. Even just having a crush on a band member and wanting to see them up close isn't inherently creepy. If someone does consider it so, it says more about them than it does about the person they're making assumptions about. They obviously can't imagine any non-creepy reasons for it. The thing that person said about getting people onstage is especially ridiculous, because I mean... just look at Billie's face when anyone gets up there. Also, I've been to lots of shows and been onstage myself and the band have only ever interacted with me in a friendly way. If anything, Billie was even nicer to me after I got onstage. Mike once gave me his jacket. They do not automatically hate everyone who goes to lots of shows and getting them onstage is not a way to tell them to fuck off. They're not stupid – they can tell the difference between a devoted fan and a creep. Are there any photos of you onstage? I'm sure Billie was grinning at you just as happily as he is in those photos above! As for going to shows because it's therapeutic, I totally get that, too. That was my primary motivation when I first started going to lots of shows. Nothing helped me quite like seeing Green Day did. I compiled a book of Green Day fan stories in 2017 and so many others said the same. You're not alone at all. It may not be entirely healthy, but it's not creepy or uncommon. Everyone deserves something to look forward to. Please don't stop going to shows because of some bullshit you heard from someone who's clearly jealous, and please feel free to PM me if you want to chat to someone else who's been to a lot of shows. Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to write all of this. Has made me feel better already😄 yeah I did not see a problem with it either until(I don't see a problem with it anymore either, slowly forgetting that other fans comments) going to alot of shows does help alot of the fandom to let loose and not feel so alone and feels like a giant caring community. With everyone there for the same reason or different reasons. We are all there to experience the best feeling ever. i agree with you! If someone does see any of the reasons you had listed as to why people go to shows, and if some other fans find that creepy i think that they have some weird odd hang ups they need to personally deal with. and true, why would he hate people he chooses to get to on stage for a song. He does look so happy in all of those pics you shared💚 that is awesome you got on stage!!! I bet it is an experience you will forever cherish. That is so cool Mike let you wear his jacket, another memory to always remember😄 yes there are some of me on stage with Billie also!!!☺️ that is a cool idea the GD fan stories book you did. Yes it seems alot of us go to shows for very similiar reasons. thank you!!! For sure. And i'll pm you sometime
That Dude
My son asked for Green Day instead of relaxing spa music for bathtime. We rocked these: Meet Me on the roof, shoplifter, Jar, coming clean, missing you, that's Rock n roll and 21 Guns with the Broadway cast.
