I'm going to do a comparison video on the Father of All Dark Roasts and Atomic Garden. Atomic Garden smells the best, as I can smell it through the freakin' bag and and Father of All Dark Roast really doesn't have a smell, which is weird. Maybe it's broken. But yeah. Coffee. I'm happy about that, (al) bummed that Shinedown are delaying their new album by months. It took me a week. But I'm in Canada. This Father of All... Dark Roast is so good! Give me the link to your comparison video when it will be done please!

I thought you'd be closer, but it looks like I'd have a 6 hour head start if we were to race to Oakland Coffee, haha! I remember loving the dark roast, and I think I tried the Atomic Garden one as well, but I'll see how they compare. Can't do it tonight as I've already had too much coffee, like Mike Dirnt in Homecoming, haha.
That Dude
I googled "Green Day are evil" after researching the sassafras plant. I am glad I did:
jengd
Can’t find the thread I’m sure there is fir Heart Like. Hard Grenade so putting this here. I came across this and it has to be inspiration for the dance scene we talked so much about.
RedundantIdiot
Me: Billie brought his mum on stage about 2009/10. Dad: Did she stage dive?! Me (hysterical laughter): Clearly you don't know how old she is.
MillenniumFan
Man listening to BIAB I can't help but think that it would be cool if they played JOS earlier in the set again. Like, I know why they play it as an encore, but it's just such a high energy song and I'm sure it's exhausting for them to play too. When they play it as like the 25th or 26th song, part of that energy is, for obvious reasons, just gone. The song really shines on BIAB though and besides the band being a good deal younger, I think that's also down to them playing the song earlier in the night.
That Dude
I've been binge listening the Redundant podcast and the guys have basically fanboys of everything Green Day have done....until Rev Rad. Holy Toledo, I haven't heard this kind of hate for RevRad anywhere. Haha.

Best Song? - Saints Are Coming Father of All is better than Smooth, Kerplunk....it just might be a top 4 album.
Popular Post Flashback
Just watched the footage of the secret show at Reading 2012. The early albums do suffer from low production value, while FOAM has so many little details to listen for, which makes it equally or even more enjoyable in its own right.

I remember it very fondly as one of the most exciting times to be a fan - they were larger than life touring the world, playing lots of surprise shows with so many new songs that we loved and they kept outdoing themselves with both the new stuff and deep cuts. They played incredibly long sets too… I don’t think any tour they’ve done since has been this exciting from the surprise element POV. At the time, It didn’t seem anyone noticed there was anything off with Billie (which is pretty wild in hindsight)… Knowing about it does kind of take away from the fun of it all, but I’m mostly just impressed he was able to pull all of that stuff off as well as he did. It would have been extremely taxing even for someone in a good shape.

They were on the radio in the Uk and did this wild broadcast with Zane Low where they leaked so many tracks, hinted about the secret show, it was lots of fun. 4

That said, I like how they played the odd 21CB song such as Murder City (or East Jesus during other gigs), they barely do that anymore. The most we can hope to hear from that album these days is KYE or 21 Guns. In a lot of ways a more stripped down high energy version of Green Day could have worked, it's just that both Billie's condition and the trilogy's overall execution did not quite allow for it. But watching this show I can certainly see what they were trying to do.
Popular Post That Dude
Reading random Green Day facts in hopes of finding some I didn't know. Here's the only two I haven't heard before: They are the youngest people inducted in the Rock N Roll hall of fame. All three guys have EAST BAY PUNK MAFIA tattoos.

I was surprised more wasn’t made of that, it doesn’t really matter other than being admirable they were so young when they started and worthy of comment that they are still active.

Slave To The Network
Oh yes, I knew that! That's what makes it even cooler. Green Day is just the best! They're such wonderful, amazing people and I love them so much. ❤️

That Dude
The good ole Redundant Green Day Podcast suggested this video, and it's pretty special, although I'll be fact checking that number Tre Cool throw out there, haha! The bastards! They can only play 150 songs and they have 169 songs on studio records! We can figure out most of the ones they can't play.... No One Knows, Panic Song, Westbound Sign, Deadbeat Holiday, Song of the Century, See You Tonight, Baby Eyes, Night Life, The Forgotten, Say Goodbye, Outlaws, Bouncing off the Wall (singular) and anything from FOAM that wasn't a pre-album single.

It's not on a studio record, so I let it slide. We're never going to hear Shenanigans tracks live either, and that's a gosh darn travesty. It’s one if not their best album.. Yes, I said it.
Popular Post Christian's Inferno!
So I was just listening to the trilogy and while reading along with the lyrics on genius, I noticed that there are some more interesting lyrics than I thought. I think because there are so many songs & lyrics on these albums that people think most of them are just meaningless filler but there's definitely interesting stuff in there that you won't notice if you're not really paying attention. Not to say the trilogy is a lyrical masterpiece, obviously it's not. But because there are so many lyrics there and there are some lyrics that are just... bad, a lot of people assume that all of it is bad

For every “bad” line people find, I can find ten good ones that are overlooked.

I think when people say a certain song is bad lyrically, they usually mean there are 1 or 2 lines in the song or in one verse that they don't like and then they ignore the rest of the lyrics. There are lyrics that are pretty bad or generic, but I mean it's no worse than what I'd expect from a trilogy of albums Btw in my original comment, I accidentally said that most of the lyrics are meaningless filler when I meant to say that people think most of the lyrics are meaningless filler. I edited my original comment
