I will take a look at this when I get a chance to watch the whole thing. Thanks!

From the googles:

“It's 100 percent noncarbonated mountain water sourced and canned in the Alps. No flavoring but with a slightly alkaline pH of 8.2. It's the latest venture from former Netflix creative director Mike Cessario, a product designed to resonate with “extreme” straight-edged punk crowds that eschew alcohol and drugs.May 7, 2019”

Sounds like it is just regular old water with heavy marketing LOL, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. If Billie likes it, let's let him drink it. Far from the worst thing he could be doing LOL.

Don't know if it's on YouTube or not. It's from the DVD that comes with the album. I don't really have time to look for it right now. Maybe try the downloads section?

I don't get the fascination with Liquid Death other than it's water in a can with a cool label that looks like an alcoholic drink. Am I missing something? Can someone please explain to me why this water is so special? A coworker had a can the other day and I read the label and it just sounded like it was trying too hard.

I used to drink a lot of soda and beer, so when I seen it I was drawn to it,  I haven't had a beer or a can of pop since. It Improved my health overall. I guess it's all in the lifestyle of the person.  I understand where you're coming from though, it is just water in a can.

This is exactly how I feel about Liquid Death..it's just a marketing ploy. They have a cool logo and name so of course people are like what is it? And then when they find out it's water they're hoping people can't believe it that they go out and buy it to see it for themselves. It's dumb but seems like it's a tactic that's working for them. They want people to talk about how absurd and dumb it is.

Dumb, but also genius. Get high-profile people to drink it (the target market) and then you've got the trickle down affect.

Idk, it doesn’t bother me that much. If people buy dumb water over a regular drink at a night out, at least they’ll be less sick in the morning. I’m generally not a big fan of packaged water, because it’s not very eco and I’d be happy forever drinking tap water if it was available in public places, but that’s not an issue specific to any brand.

I think there is a move away from water in plastic bottles, there are real issues when they are stored for not terribly long periods, more and more waters come in cans.  My other half only really drinks water and when that’s the case, it’s nice to change it around at times, though we are fortunate as our drinking water is ace.

Part of me feels like saying, god people it was his birthday and people would have started sounding off if he’d been drinking beer or wine or something!  Give the man a break.  😁😉

Feeling like we need thread just to talk about water. 🤣

But yes there are moves away from plastic going on, with the issue of plastic coming from petroleum and plastic also not being as recyclable as we have been led to believe. Plastic pollution is a huge problem and aluminum is far more recyclable.

It doesn't bother me at all, I just don't get why it became a trendy brand other than the marketing. The metal can is way less wasteful, though. So that's a good thing to become popular. Anyway, Billie can drink whatever he wants and it's nobody's business.

True, but there can be health issues from chemicals leaching from the plastic too, ironic for something people think is good for them!

I think there has always been an odd thing about buying water, years ago Perrier was the “posh” water to drink, before they got caught out putting nasties in it.  You need to check the ingredients!

I drink tap water. I only buy water if that's the only option, but I'm fortunate enough to live in a region where the tap water is high quality. Other people don't really have a choice and that's really unfortunate.

To bring the conversation back to Billie, I think it's great that he's found something he enjoys like that. Better than Fiji Water, which comes in plastic. Maybe at shows there will be a cooler full of Liquid Death for him now instead of Fiji.

You are right about stuff like BPA in the plastics. There is becoming a move away from that in plastic but it is still out there. I think Europe banned it a while back but it is still an issue here.

You make a great point. That's the last thing I wanted to say about the Great Water Debate LOL. While I agree with most people here that buying water is silly if you have safe tap water, the sad truth is that many people do not have safe tap water, even here in the U.S. Just take a look at Flint, Michigan. Heck, even in my own state, one city couldn't drink their water a few years ago because of pollution from a nearby chemical plant. Clean and safe tap water should be a right and not a privilege, but unfortunately that is not yet the case, even in the first world. Obviously I am sure Billie has safe tap water and this is off topic, but I just wanted to make this point.

So I just got around to watching this, and it is the same video with the two women on the couch that @Slave To The Network said was the wrong video. :( What am I missing?

I think it's kind of two different versions of the same Hungry Hungry Models video, one a standalone video and one part concert footage and part clips? I haven't checked and could be remembering wrong. But it's basically the same video either way.

The DVD has the live show (which also includes some extra cutaways to clips during some songs and Svengali speaking etc), and it has the music videos separately. It's one from each I think.

OK. I just was confused when it was described as a soft porn video and that wasn't how I interpreted the women on the couch LOL. I really wanted to see a Network orgy and now I am disappointed. 🤣

I only skimmed the YouTube video that I said wasn't it and saw concert footage so I assumed it was the wrong one.

No worries. So I assume we are both talking about the video with the two women on the couch eating the banana and kissing and stuff amidst all the religious paraphernalia. I didn't really read it as pornographic though. It just felt really sad to me, like how after their make-out they just kinda go back to sitting there sadly. It felt like a lot of internal struggle going on to me, which I guess fits since the song is about the exploitation of young women.

If Billie Joe Armstrong, Reverend Strychnine Twitch, and Fink were pitted against each other in a fight to the death, who would win and how? This thought just came to me and I don't know why.  I feel like Fink would fight dirty.

Yeah, I agree that Fink would fight dirty, and I think he would win.

On that note, my favorite part of the Network DVD was the brawl at the press conference at the end. 🤣
