It's quite varied. If there ever was a wardrobe that doesn't work for him it's Hella Mega/FOAM imo.

Can’t agree here, I thought he looked fab during FOAM/HM, possibly too much make up at times (can we blame the make up artist for wanting to spend more time on him though ), had a great selection of beautiful jackets.

FOAM and Longshot era = best looking era for style. Followed by Rev Rad. It’s an evolution. It’s like Green Day fashion and style kept getting better.

Whoever was in charge of his face in 2019/2020 was putting him through the standard kardashianization protocol they use for female celebs, which always looks weird and uncanny, but it stood out even more on a guy.

My favorite style was 21CB era.

So I was listening to KFAD, which has been ages since I lasted listened to, and imo, if GD wants to keep it on the setlist, they should change the routine. While I listening to it, I was thinking it would be nice if people from the crowd got to the stage and got costumes. During 21CB era, they would bring several people to the stage during 2000LYA... same idea, but during KFAD, people dress up in costumes (and as it becomes known, people would be already in costumes) and they would dance up there. At least, loads of different people might bring something new to the routine, because we know everything the guys do at this point.

I really don’t like when people say Billie is a dad in that kind of stereotypical way. He’s way cooler than that.

He was too young for all of that when it happened for him and ironically because he was so young it’s over. He has grown adult children. He made it through and he is not a dork because he’s a dad. He’s just a dork.

I agree with you. He's always been a dork and nothing has changed. It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that he has children. He'd still be this way if he never had any kids. He's just Billie.

This is the whole point, he’s not trying to be anything other than himself.  I love him for it!

I think the problem with Helamega was that there were a limited number of jackets.

I would have liked to see more of them.

That's what I meant basically when I said Hella Mega/FOAM era isn't doing it for him. There was very little variety. Same shirt, pants, and shoes (as far as I'm aware) every night of the concert tour with only three options for jacket color. He switched it up way more on previous tours. He had some nice outfits at promos, photoshoots, and awards stuff, but the actual tour wardrobe was quite limited.

Listening to Soul Surrender and I just got this line!

To keep me clean and blow my nose is a spin on keeping your nose clean and, well....the other thing.

I'm the runner up but the first one to lose the day

Almost only really counts in Green Day Freaking A-

2nd in the leaderboards, because of @Rumpelstiltskin2000.

You may have gotten 1st place, but I'm coming for your gold!

:)

i always thought Soul Surrender was so very interesting lyrically because the POV he's coming from seems to change quite a bit. There are parts that clearly are about recovery like this verse or the one that goes "lead me out of my temptation", which kinda also gives the song this "reformed sinner/religious" vibe, but the chorus seems to contrast with it, like he's daydreaming about the good old drug days.

Has anyone ever attempted to hire Ronnie Blake to play horns on a music project?

It's on his webpage and I'm so tempted to see how much it would cost.   I'm poor, but could I get a 10 second sax solo?   5 seconds?   He's played with Green Day, I'd take one toot for a hundred bucks.

Okay, here's the plan.   Cult Hero and the Lesser Knowns will be our band name.    That Dude backed by Green Day's Backing Band, what could go right?????

I mean, wrong.

You want to see an unmasked Mongo Fink?

Because the ZigZag Hearts are exactly how you see an unmasked Fink!

Been in hardcore Green Day mode tonight and I've started work on a lyrical remix of 99 Revolutions.

I've got Billie saying "Something's wrong, it's my soul" and I'm pretty happy with that.   More on the way, but here's where we are at so far:

Something's wrong, it's wrong

it's my soul

it's

Revolutions

Revolutions

it's

My soul

it's

Revolutions

Picked up this sweet Green Day t shirt in H&M today

https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.1031652003.html

They always have classic rock inspired tops like Ramones, Metallica, Nirvana etc in there. Always hoped for a Green Day one, finally happened!

I always have mixed feelings about this.  I love that they're moving into legend status but also it's just a fashion trend worn by people who don't even know who they are.  Hopefully it inspires people to check them out too. Nice shirt though! I saw a similar one yesterday in Hot Topic but they didn't have my size and I can't find it online, but it was green tye dye like that one, had the dookie logo and the cartoon face for Basket Case from the album.
