That's because the USA is not a government run healthcare country.

And imagine the shit show it would be. They can barely agree on helping their own people with financial help. A whole $2,200 since March 2020 (for some).

Yes, I do know this as a life-long U.S. citizen who has battled the (lack of) health care system. I was about to say this when I got a free moment. Yes, the government is dysfunctional, but a government system would still be far better than the private shit show we have right now where basically companies make money off people dying.

My boyfriend and I are gonna look into vaccines this weekend. As it stands, I have no idea how it works XD I know they're available, but I have no idea where to go, how to register, etc. Chicago has not been great about sharing that info (or I just don't watch news).

Start with your state and county health department websites and then check websites of your local pharmacy chains.  They all have information on eligibility and appointments

Spoilered since it only pertains to Chicago.

Spoiler

City site; point 2 has links to the pharmacies.  Some are saying they've had more luck calling Walgreens rather than doing it online.

United Center (supposed to live in certain zip codes, but I know people who live in others that have gone here, so...)

UIC

Zocdoc

Chicago Vaccine Hunters (informational)

I MISS THEM!!

Aw, me too. It occurred to me that we've seen Billie's face a total of once in 2021.  I don't even know what he looks like anymore 😥

I’m taking a trip down memory lane today for the anniversary of my first Green Day show and looking back at Billie’s best tweets from the RevRad tour. This one has to be my all time favorite 😂

I know some people disagree, but I would still love to see Green Day at the half time show.

YESSSS!!!!!!!!! This has been a lifelong dream for me. Maybe the NFL Honors Show is a sign of things to come. There needs to be a Green Day Super Bowl Halftime Show. With a stripper pole. And Billie in a thong.

So I just stumbled on this bizarre...do you call this a parody? I don't really get doing this to what was actually a really important song about institutional racism and society's apathy toward it/refusal to acknowledge it. Can someone help me understand the joke here LOL?

Oh yeah, I already knew the original video. Yeah, the guy's voice may be unusual, but it was still a song we needed. And now we need it more than ever.

It was also because of how he weirdly moved his head away from the mic to breathe and because the song is called "chocolate rain" and the music makes it sound like a comedy track lol. No reasonable person disagreed with the message but it was always viewed as funny and a meme, way before Tre did his cover. It became popular for its humourous aspects not for its message.

Oh I totally get that. I am not saying the original video was not odd LOL. I guess I just don't know how to feel about all of this oddness LOL.

I shared this on HCTS thread but I felt like ranting about it, so here is it again:

I was one of those people who were excited as fuck when trailer of this song was released. When the full song came out, I liked it but my interest didn't last long (especially when the full album came out and Stab You In The Heart blew my mind). However, this version was uploaded to YouTube like 2 months before album came out and I somehow noticed it much later, and I'm so glad I did, because this version is much more fun than the original one. This is how it should've been released in the first place, dammit! Removing 3rd chorus and unnecessary ''ah-ah's'' from the beginning improved this song so much. Shame that this version is not available on Spotify.

Regarding the video itself, it's awesome. It was obvious from the start that if this song gets played live, Billie won't play guitar during it, so it wasn't surprise that my personal favorite shot from the video is around 1:29 mark where Billie Joe is singing and playing correct notes at the same time. 0:57-1:01 is simply awesome as fuck.

I wonder if this version and music video would've been released on official Green Day channel first instead of the normal version, would people like it more? Some core problems that people have with FOAM are obviously still there (like clapping) but this one is only under 2 minutes.

Great version. Now I wonder when alternative version of Here Comes The Shock gets released..

This is why it never should have been released as a song. It works as music for a TV spot and if it stayed that way we would be constantly complaining that it should have been a song :P

I do just need to add that the best line in Tre's "Chocolate Rain" parody is "Get your cute ass to the gay parade." 🤣 I feel like that has to be directed at Billie LOL. Or maybe Tre is talking about his own (very cute) ass LOL.
