Random Green Day Thoughts

Got tickets to see The Struts play live next month at my local drive-in theater. Sure would be cool if Green Day or The Longshot did a tour of drive-ins like this over the next few months.

I watched the Howard Stern performance of WMUWSE from 2019 and wow. 😬😬😬  It does not sound like it used to. Makes me sad.

I had to go to the doctor today for breathing issues and one of the questions they asked me was "Is there any chance that you're pregnant?" Obviously I answered something like "God no." But just now I thought "Well, I did see Billie do a pelvic thrust the other day..."

But yeah, no kids for me. Ever.

Those pelvic thrusts are no joke. Luckily, I turned out to not be pregnant either  after seeing that pelvic thrust (thank god). But Billie needs to be careful goddammit!

I mean you saw that pelvic thrust too. I would get myself checked out to make sure you don't get any surprises if I were you.

If Billie somehow fucks with my genetics in such a way, I will still blame you and @Green Day In Seattle:P

The @fusdechus's thread about his fan made video reminded of a piece of shit  art I made back in 2009 as a 16 yo, when the official 21CB video was not out yet.

Somehow I managed to find it, and I am cringing so much watching this now that I needed to share it with you 😂

Since septemper I listen a lot to Green Day, more so than I have in many years. This is my third time since septemper and I can't get enough right now. Because of corona I can't say I have seen them live, and that such BIG TIME. I don't feel I know enough to write in the different topics and I want that so bad, because I really want to share my thoughs about the music mostly. I don't know them till fully but I know what I am feeling about what I hear. The songs, the albums (also if I dont't know the albums till fully)...

You can still share your thoughts if you would like to.  Some of us old timers like to hear about new fan’s experiences.

I'm not really a new, new fan. In some ways maybe, but since 2005 and American Idiot I have been into Green Day, but it was in september I really got into the albums before American Idiot and I should have done it years ago. I really do love American Idiot, but I must admid that I'm more into them before AI, but with that said American Idiot could still be my favorite album. I'm trying to find that out

Last week I watched AI and Dookie when they were performed from start to finish in 2004 and 2013 respectively, and I'd love Kerplunk, Insomniac and Nimrod to be played in full.

LOL this kinda sounds like me. I first became aware of Green Day and became a fan when AI came out in 2004, at which time I was 13. I have been a fan ever since but the obsession goes in cycles; I got really reobsessed again last September when the FOAM single dropped, and then I went back and relistened to everything they ever made. Then I realized how much more productive I got when listening to Green Day, so I just kept listening. :) AI is definitely my favorite album, but all their albums/eras are amazing in their own ways.

We definitely have something in common in what we write. Finding them again and all that. Mayby also mine, but before AI is my favorite era. But AI is very close to my heart and will always be

I would especially love for Nimrod to be done.  I was hoping we'd get more from it during RevRad since it was the 20 year anniversary.  If concerts still aren't done next year, maybe we can have it for its 25 year in 2022.

I have one goal during quarantine and it’s going pretty well. I’m subliminally turning one of my friends into a Green Day fan. She now knows some songs and albums and know certain lyrics. I even got her to say that Billie is good looking! She doesn’t realize my goal yet and for that I am glad.
