HAPPY ZOMBIE UNICORN
51 minutes ago, Miko said: I briefly mentioned in FOAM Release party thread that at this point I hope they ditch American Idiot and Jesus of Suburbia completely. They're not bad songs but they are just overplayed to the point I would rather hear Basket Case for 2 hours straight. New album of course gave me finally something new to listen and it's affecting to my opinions little bit but I honestly just can't stand those two songs anymore especially Jesus of Suburbia because it's 9 minutes long. How awesome it would be if they would perfom in a tour where they don't play single song from AI or Dookie? Of course it's unrealistic because casuals want to hear hits, but one can only dream. I saw somewhere a mention that Green Day perfomed Lazy Bones live first time in 9 years after that release party. Dunno is it real or not, but atleast my hopes got higher to hear some Trilogy stuff in Hella Mega Tour. With these two I really don’t agree, they are great songs, I melt down every time I hear them live, and I would not deprive anyone who is attending a GD concert for the first time of that feeling. They are just two of the best songs they ever wrote, and they deserve to stay in the setlist. On top of this I think AI is the best opener they have in their catalogue, and I think the guys still enjoy playing these two songs despite how much they’ve played them. I’m totally biased cause AI is my record but, even if some people might kill me for saying this, I would prefer to let go Boulevard and are we the waiting and not bring back WMUWSE. I would then take out everything from RevRad except Bang Bang and Youngblood, keep Fell for you and Stay the night from the trilogy, bring back as many songs from 21CB as possible that are not KYE and 21 Guns, play as many deep cuts as possible from pre-ai records. Is all of this gonna happen? Definitely not, I mean I want to take all the breathers from Billie But one thing I really want and I pretend it (jk), I want FOAM to have at least the same space RevRad had in its tour, which is about 23 minutes, they can skip Oh Yeah! if they really have to

Popular Post TRE is underrated
Now, this may be one of my fav GD live performances ever, Billie's voice is at is best, and the sound and video quality are amazing. cav9mm
Not to say that the others don’t, and not superficially judging someone but ......... Tre Cool is looking really good. He looks really healthy, he looks far better than he did from the Rev Rad days . Truly the best comeback of this era has to be Tre Cool’s hairline.

SO MUCH ENERGY I really enjoyed this one, musically on point, just Green Day doing what they do best and making me suuuuper hyped to go see them at the end of the year. It's a shame about all the censorship in this one, like even more so than usual and doing that horrible scrambled eggs effect on the songs is far more offensive to me than anything anyone said in that entire video. Boulevard of Broken Dreams sounded so damn good though that it actually brought a tear to my eye. No wonder that was such an important song to me for so many years of my life.

Red
Random thought: Junkies on a High has crawled it's way up to being one of my favorite songs on the new album and I haven't been able to get it out of my head all day. I feel like it achieves what Oh Yeah tried to do, giving us a side of GD that we haven't really experienced before and presenting it in a way that is still musically interesting to me. It has a very.. urban? feel to it but also kind of reminds me of some alternative music of the 90s for some reason while still having an undeniable rock energy behind it all, I don't know, but I think it's fantastic and that bass in the 2nd verse... hot damn🔥🔥🔥 .

The_real_st_jimmy
I hope they keep Forever Now and Still Breathing in the setlist for HM, even though they gotta add some new songs in and probably can't have too much Rev Rad songs

It is my favorite song off RevRad, but I have this feeling that the only RevRad songs that will stay are Bang Bang and RevRad. I just don’t see them keeping both BOBD and SB.

Regardless, BOBD better stay no matter what ☺️
