RedundantIdiot
Just been watching the TV quiz show The Chase and there was a GD question: Billie Joe Armstrong is the lead singer of which band? The contestants got it right.
The Bellie
Every song Billie writes must have its importance to him, maybe not always appreciable by whether they put it on GD or on a side project. I love The Longshot and it's hard to compare it to Green Day stuff, it's different. Although I listen more often to LIFL than some GD albums (notably because I find more joyful so it's easier to listen, in that way), most of my fave songs lie in GD. The Longshot may be missed by casual GD fans, but even among the GD songs, some of them could mean a lot to Billie and still not be very popular, so... It's still good that whatever he puts out, he'll always have people listening to it and play in places accordingly to that, such as clubs for The Longshot that has a smaller audience, since it allows him to alternate clubs and arenas, and get his share of it whatever the amount of fans into it.
That Dude
So a 2019 album is looking very unlikely. Gosh I hope it's not 2021 or 2022.

All signs actually point to a fall release being on track.
WhiteTim
Has a band covered Revolution Radio? I was at the grocery store last night and I hear a solo playing in like I recognize this song what is it? Then the chorus comes on and it’s Green Day’s Revolution Radio but it’s not Green Day’s version 1

Popular Post solongfromthestars
When I listen to audio of Forever Now from the shows I went to I can still feel how sore my throat was from singing all night and then singing that even louder. But most of all I can still feel my lungs about to burst as I screamed “I AIN’T GONNA STAND IN LINE NO MORE!” and the barrier shaking as I jumped until I couldn’t breathe. Then throwing up both of my arms to the pyros at the end. I’m going to cry now, bye. 3
Popular Post The Bellie
Billie spreads out a lot of dorkiness these days and in real he's just a full-time dork. Here he brings the mic in the catwalk, but doesn't lay it straight and it falls, and he doesn't notice it. One guy of the security quickly puts the mic back on the stage, Billie turns around to see it's gone and brings it back again on the catwalk, laying it with no more precaution than the first time, letting it almost fall again, without even checking. Did he get that he made it fall the first time? But he doesn't give a shit. Love this man 1
pacejunkie punk
It may be that he doesn’t notice but to fair when performing it’s not his job to notice. They have crew guys to do things like move the mics and pick stuff up off the floor so they don’t have to worry about it so he’s probably used to not paying attention and just focusing on performing the song.

Why unlikely? With RR we didn't get the first single until August when the album came out in October. They could just release a single in october and say "btw new album in 2 weeks" and thats it
Popular Post That Dude
Anyone think it's time for a line-up shake-up? Other than Jason White coming and going as an official member, Green Day have had the same line-up from 1990-2019. Not very Rock N Roll of them, right? Time to let Billie focus on The Longshot and Mike focus on what would undoubtedly be the best solo career in all of history. Tre Cool could join.....Avenged Sevenfold. Now, for the new Green Day: Kathleen Hanna: vocals, bass guitar (female lead could be the change this band needs) Jason Freeze: guitars, assorted instruments (one of the Big Three, this guy know his way around a Green Day tune and plays just about any instrument needed) Al Sobrante: Drums (The only original member of Green Day we don't hear much from anymore. Time to rock, Al!) Benmont Trench: Keyboards, vocals. (A nice touch from a classic rock background) This will be the 2019-2023 lineup, before more shifts happen. Jason will get tied up in the studio with Metallica, never to be heard from again for about 8 years. Al will go back to producing, leaving Kathleen and and Trench to forge on, finding new members. GREEN DAY 2024: Kathleen Hanna: vocals, guitars Benmont Trench - keyboards, vocals Joey Armstrong - drums, vocals Jakob Danger - bass, vocals After one album and tour, this incarnation goes quiet. Some say this is the end of Green Day. But then, it is revealed that the Armstrongs are taking a more active role in the lastest Green Day project. Something like this: Green Day 2027: Adrienne Armstrong: vocals, guitar Benmont Trench - keyboards, vocals Joey Armstrong - drums, vocals Mike Dirnt - bass guitar, vocals Green Day 2030: Adrienne Armstrong: vocals, guitars, Al Sobrante: Drums, vocals Joey Armstrong: bass, vocals Green Day 2033: Billie Joe Armstrong: Returns to vocals, guitar Al Sobrante: Drums Mike Dirnt: Bass Green Day 2036: Green Day Hits 50 Tour coming up, and all bets are off: Billie Joe Armstrong: Vocals, guitars Mike Dirnt: Bass, vocals Tre Cool: Drums, vocals with an extended touring band: Every studio and live band member over the last 50 years, giving Green Day the fullest, loudest, deepest sound they've ever achieved. 16 backing band members in total, plus a few surprise guests!) Billie removes a bunch of a whoo-ohs so he properly introduce ALL the members of Green Day! From Jason White all the way down to the small group of saxophone players, Green Day in its entirety is finally given it's due. 1

That Dude
Crazy line up changes continued. In 2037, Green Day will decide that their live band is just as important as the trio. Past members are just as important as current. So Green Day become a 21 piece rock band, even bringing back brief players such as Sean and Raj. They make these massive, musically perfect albums and everyone loves it. How can they top this? MORE BAND MEMBERS!!! The Foxboro Hot Tubs and The Network are brought in to become one with the Green Day Company, which means Kevin Preston, Reto, Chris Dugan and John Roeker are now members. 25 members. HOLY COW. Then Aaron, Bill and Mike from PHGP join. 28 members! Then Jeff and David from the Longshot joing. 30 members! Then Joey Armstrong joins. 31 members! then dave Henwood joins. 32 members! Then Timmy, Garth, Kurt, Mike, Ronnie and Bobby all join (I forgot them being touring members earlier). 38 members. Norah Jones and the four piece from foreverly join, putting Green Day at a solid 43 members. The Armstrong family band joins, giving Green Day a nice 46-person line up. The four guy NOT already listed from SWMMERS joins, making Green Day hit 50 members. The five guys from the Shrives join as well. 55 piece Green Day, you're welcome! Billie Joe has officially recruited everyone who's ever been involved with the band in any capacity, musically. Now Green Day can work on ALBUM 20. It will be the most insane recording ever recorded. It will come out in 2043 and pretty much put an end to the music industry. No one will want to make an album after hearing it.
