"Haushinka" refers to regretting not saying one's feelings to a person before they leave. Also read that an unconfirmed rumor for it was when Billie met a girl in Japan during the time him and Adrienne were separated. Can anyone here confirm or deny that? Thoughts? Also, is Haushinka a real word??? That's what I've always thought/known/heard the song to be about and I believe Haushinka was her name. Billie tweeted about it way back:

That makes sense too. He could also be mocking the subject's desire to stay in line. "I'm on the spectrum and the borderline, I got the shakes but I'm alright," I think he sings "alive" in the album version (which is another degree of concession, supposing he's fine only because he's alive, that being alive is enough) but I just heard a live version where he says "alright"... but it's just a small detail ^^ I definitely hear "alright" but "alive" would also work anyway. It's a more dramatic way of saying the same thing he'd be saying with "alright," like as you said, another degree of concession as if just being alive is enough. Do you hear "swagger" sometimes when he sings it live? supposing not only it won't hurt too much, but even more, he'll even feel even more assured if he's left. Now I'm thinking the whole song could be about being left alone while he thinks he's an edgy guy from the start but finally okay with that, and that being left alone won't make him get back in line / be normal. Just listened to this one where Jeff's mic is way too loud and he's definitely singing "stagger" But on the audio from the DC show it sounds like Billie could be singing "swagger." If that's right then I agree. He's embracing being "turned loose" and even taking pleasure in it. I hear "but it doesn't matter" being related to "with dumb tattoos" because he sings both lines so closely; so it would be a way to say "the dumb tattoos don't matter, the fact I have them and am a weirdo doesn't matter". He could also be saying that. I feel like either way though, he doesn't entirely believe what he's saying and it hurts him a bit that people think that, but maybe the whole song is him trying to embrace what he doesn't want to admit is hurting him. "I'll go down swinging for the final line," I really hear foul line, like in bowling the line where you don't hit any skittle, which makes sense with the "I'm not a rebel for my pride" as I hear it. I think my interpretation would pretty much be the same if it was "foul line." He'll "go out with a bang" so to speak, fighting for himself until the end even if he's unsuccessful. Very interesting! I still wonder whom Fell For You is meant for by the way. Funny because you made to link from TML to it and I made one to Loss of Control, which follows FFY in Uno. Is is the same person he fells for, and then sings about that he's the "April Fools who thought he fell in love with" in LOC? and now the same he speaks about in TML, finally marking a conclusion to it? I have two interpretations of that line in Loss of Control. He could indeed be saying "April fool's" to himself for falling for the person in Fell For You, as if he knows it can't end well and he's mocking himself. Referring back to that in Turn Me Loose would be a great conclusion. But I think in general the song is about people from the East Bay punk scene. If that's the case, then I interpret that line as him mocking those people (or even himself) for falling in love with the scene they betrayed. Or referring to failed relationships, which those people were insistent would last at the time and that's just giving him another reason to laugh at them. As for who Fell For You is about, I think all the trilogy and Longshot love songs are about the same person. It could be an "imaginary girlfriend" because I know he talked a lot about that when the trilogy came out and he even refers to that in Razor Baby. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this post. But no pressure at all because it's 4,500 words long I also wrote some trilogy song interpretations back in 2012 but I probably don't even agree with them anymore. I'll have to dig them up and rewrite them. With Fell For You it's interesting to consider how a variation of this quote, which Billie said at the closing night of the American Idiot musical, ended up in the lyric book: “Keep your fucking heart young, goddammit. Keep it fucking all comfy all the time. Don’t fucking stop, there’s a reason why that hand is holding the heart. It just keeps squeeze that motherfucker till it still bleeds every goddamn day.” Hope it's OK for us to be using coloured text here! I don't think this shade of green is too hard to read on the black or white themes. In other news when I was looking for live versions of Turn Me Loose I came across this and seeing me dancing on the front row (the black hair and bow in the bottom right) made me happy The Longshot was such a wonderful gift from Billie.

I remember feeling that way about the FBHT club shows and I never thought I'd get to see anything similar. I'm still naively hoping they'll come to the UK one day so I hope you can see them!

I really hope you get the opportunity to see something like that one day

He's looking and sounding so great this was right before the Observatory where we met! Lol at the girl around 2:00 who's brought on the stage, awkwardly moves towards Billie and then is roughly taken away from him by the security guy Speaking of seeing yourself in vids, I'm still feeling awkward about this vid, I'm afraid to have annoyed people behind me and Billie as well what do you think?

It was! They were such good times I still can't believe I was actually there. I have to admit I laughed at how Billie totally ignores that girl and then security pull her away Well for what it's worth I squealed inside when I saw your flag That was cute! At about 0:49 Billie is looking at it and I think if it annoyed him he'd have ignored it completely, like he does with that girl in San Francisco. As for the people behind, all the phones must have been equally (if not more) annoying. 1
Rumpelstiltskin2000
I saw this and thought of Green Day (didn't read the article!) https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/751977/arsenal-news-emirates-stadium-crime-rate-worst-in-london and we camped out for the show there! I also found out today that GD's "Know Your Enemy" was used in the trailer for the movie "Free Birds" (towards the end of the trailer): I also discovered that "Welcome to Paradise" and an instrumental version of "Holiday" were used in the "Surf's Up" movie. Here's "Welcome to Paradise": 4
Popular Post pouty bitch
I've been spending a lot of time listening to the trilogy recently, especially Uno and Dos, and while I've always loved the latter, I'm really starting to warm up to the former a lot more too. I've also been watching a lot of footage of trilogy shows, and even watching some trilogy era interviews, and I must say that aside from what Billie was going through back then, I do think it was a great era. Definitely not their best, but considering Billie's struggles and how it affected the band, I think they still did pretty good. I'm extremely proud of them, especially Billie, and I appreciate everything they gave us during that period and everything they've given us since.

Popular Post Montclare
I was typing in an address and it auto-populated the street to Armstrong. I didn't even know Chicago had an Armstrong street. So I looked it up and it's a teeny tiny little street.
