He is just way too old for that already. St. Jimmy has always been an ageless, timeless metaphor for me, very similar to Mephisto, so it's not important how old the actor is. I agree with @G-L-O-R-I-A, no one could do it better than Billie. He was blowing all the other characters off stage with his energy at his Broadway performance. Do it with Billie or don't do it at all.
Libertine Angel
I know it's wishful thinking but what with Billie putting so much into the Longshot right now I'd really love it if Mike got the Frustrators back together.
Popular Post Hermione
I totally agree Billie would be great in the role of St Jimmy in a film.....but even if he wouldn't let's be real I'd still want him to play it because seeing Billie acting good or bad is glorious . I'd be 100x more interested in seeing an AI film if he was in it.

pouty bitch
The Dearly Beloved part of JOS blows me away every time I hear it. I mean, the entire song is pretty on point, but I love that section of it so fucking much. The lyrics and Billie's voice and the way he sings it. Just wow.

The play is amazing, I've seen it twice and it is the most energetic, fun show I have ever seen. And the list of fantastic stage to screen adaptions is endless as well. Saying dont do it because it may fail is a pretty defeatist attitude. Especially when the starting material is fantastic

That shouldn't be the argument for them not to do it of course, because as I said, you gotta take a risk. In the short term: no risk, no pain. But in the longterm: no risk, no gain. American Idiot was all about taking a risk and therefore is killer starting material!

The Bellie
I think there will be an AI movie, no matter when; Billie will be playing St Jimmy in it and it will be great. (No matter when means hopefully in the 5 next years )
IcyMoffatt
My mom hates Green Day and everything related to the band, and she also hates how I dress. I had my AI vest on and my mom told me she loves my vest. Who are you and what did you do with my mom? Also, if one day I ever meet GD, I hope I'm not going to react like this: 2

pouty bitch
This will always be one of my fave performances of 21 Guns, even with the voice crack at the end. It feels so emotional. 1
pacejunkie punk
I wonder why he didn’t record it this way on the album. Why the falsetto in the chorus? I like it, but the way he sings it live is so powerful.
Popular Post IcyMoffatt
I went to see a dance show tonight. One of the acts used the song Everybody Dance Now. I couldn't appreciate what was happening on the stage because I was thinking about this video: Thank you whoever made this awesome video. 2

Popular Post pouty bitch
Having a Blast is sheer perfection. One of my faves from Dookie, for sure. On the subject of Dookie, it's not my favourite album, and I don't usually pay much attention to lyrics, but some of the lyrics on Dookie actually give me goosebumps. They're scarily relatable and specific, as if Billie has literally just taken a look inside my head and written exactly what he's seen. Especially Burnout and the aforementioned Having a Blast. I've never come across a writer/lyricist who is able to express their genuine feelings through a song or a piece of writing the way Billie does, and still make the entire thing so engaging. And that means a lot to me considering how I rarely ever connect to other people's work, if at all. Good ol' Billie, amirite?

I'm not a huge fan of their pre-Dookie stuff but Dookie is just an amazing album, a MASSIVE leap in quality from 1,039 and Kerplunk in pretty much every way.

I dunno if I’d say a massive leap from Kerplunk for me the only difference between Kerplunk and Dookie is the recording quality lyrically and musically they’re on the same level
