Popular Post RedundantIdiot
I am still crying with laughter as I write this! Earlier this afternoon I showed Dad a picture of Billie with his new earring & an article about Billie telling those who are asking if GD have split to STFU. I then went out for a meal with Mum and Dad. Just as we were about to ask for the bill, the restaurant started to play wake me up when September ends! Dad heard it before I did and he rather loudly said "oh guess who it is? It's the 46-year old punk with a new earring who told people who think his bands splitting up to shut the eff up!"
IcyMoffatt
I will just leave this here... the name, the typo and so many other references... Someone (aka Billie) seems to be a fan of Marvel's Longshot.

UNICORN VOMIT
Tre's drumming in FN is phenomenal - I was so engulfed by it last night BJ was background noise
jengd
Tre is awesome though, if you ever get a chance to see the video (cant post it here) of Working Class Hero, Raw Clip #1 it largely focusses on Tre and it's just great to see him at work!
SmoothedOut
Just wanted to say how much I appreciate The Longshot EP. There are some really great songs on there. And just seeing them play the songs live at small clubs without anyone knowing the lyrics is really inspiring. I really liked the segment in Cuatro where they talked about having to prove themselves again with a bunch of new songs. In my opinion, The Longshot pulls off the garage-y sound sound better than Green Day's previous attempts at "going back-to-basics" simply because they genuinely are a bunch of different musicians getting together for the first time. And the approach has been way more DIY. Let's face it, Green Day will NEVER be able to go back-to-basics in the truest sense. They're already a massive band. They'll always be playing huge arenas and doing promos on Good Morning America. It's not a bad thing. With that said, a side-project is the way to go! The way garage/punk musicians do it these days with social media and all the different media platforms has never been more fun!
Popular Post The Grohl
I can't remember what song I was listening to, but when it came up on my shuffle I couldn't help thinking "I fucking love Billie's voice." I also like that it's so distinct my mom can hear it and go, "Oh this must be Green day!" 5
Popular Post pouty bitch
Just been watching this show on Youtube: Man, that setlist tho. If I could go back in time, this would be one of the first gigs I'd go to. Kinda love that it was in England too.

Popular Post Marki.
Road to Acceptance came up on shuffle for me this morning and I was reminded just how much I appreciate the song - it's so well written and tackles the topic of adolescence, dealing with peer pressure/feeling like an outcast, accepting differences, moral dilemmas etc. so skillfully. The lyrics are to the point and (unfortunately) stay relevant/are very relatable. It's been in my head the whole day. "I take a look around, and all the things I've found, I call it blind hatred.."

Jesus of Seneca
NSYNC got their star on the hollywood walk of fame today. The entire time all I could think about is how have these fuckers - this nearly 2 decades dead, immemorable boy band - got a star on the walk of fame,.... and Green Day have not.

Clearly GD doesn't care about it because they fit the criteria. http://newsfeed.time.com/2013/07/16/how-to-get-a-star-on-the-hollywood-walk-of-fame/
