On the subject of angry GD, is it just me that finds that Nightlife is a good song to listen to when you're angry (and pls don't make any wisecracks about it not being a good song to listen to at all:dry:)? Like, it's not a particularly angry song itself, but if I listen to it when I'm angry, it has the same kinda calming effect that songs like Horseshoes and Handgrenades or Take Back have.

I agree but for a different reason.  I think it’s actually a very dark song and sounds dangerous. “My little Angel of Death is my nightlife” 💀

So aside from the trilogy, every album from Warning until RevRad has been named after a song on the album. They toyed around with the idea during insomniac though, I've read that the album was going to be called "Tight Wad Hill" at one point. Also, the song Brain Stew was originally titled "Insomniac", so technically Brain Stew is the title track for that album in a way. It just has me wondering if maybe nimrod had a song on there that was originally called "nimrod" and it was going to have a title track. Probably not, but it's definitely a random thought I had earlier :)

Yeah, and for Warning, AI and 21st CB it's the 1st song of each album that gave the name, while on RevRad it's the third.

Imagine if RevRad was named Somewhere Now instead ?

Honestly I see no problem with that at all.

Actually now that I think about it I think it'd suit the album better, from what I remember of it the album's themes definitely focus more on looking back at the past and seeing the present through that lens than on the overtly political stuff that the title would imply.

I think they looked like Ed Ed and Eddy when they were in the dookie and insomniac era 🤣

I can't get Uptown Girl out of my head.  I think my Billy Joel and Billie Joe wires somehow got crossed.

I've come to the conclusion that I can't physically function unless I watch Jaded in Chicago at least once a day. Especially that performance of Going to Pasalacqua.

Excellent choice, one of my favourites of Going to Pasalacqua is in Florida, it's a crazy audience and Billie with dreads......

Well you could win a piece of Tre Cool (fragment of bone from a knee operation) by writing a haiku at one point so seems fairly valid

The person who won it should admit they have it because tbh sometimes I think of the fact that most probably one of us in this fandom has it keeps it as a secret and that's kinda unsettling.

While I'm all for new threads being made for GD stuff, if you just want to make a joke about something that really has nothing to do with GD it would be better suited to Random Green Day Thoughts just fyi. So I've moved it here.
