I think he must be watching the music video- I love it when I can hear Dad listening to some GD! I've not seen the Back in the USA video for a week or two- I feel like watching it now. Speaking of dads being fans of GD, oooh yes! About 40 minutes after they posted the music video (I was away from the house, didn't have wifi) he excitedly had to text me with "good news". And of course, whenever we have guests at our house he has to play his favourite GD song. Oh, and not long ago he bought a wall scroll with Boulevard's lyrics and now has it hanging above his computer. Our house lives with Green Day!

I'm still addicted to it. I'm still watching it at least twice a day. It's just too good. While we're on the subject of BITUSA, it brings me onto something that I've been thinking about a lot recently. With most bands/artists I listen to, my favourite of their work is nearly always stuff from earlier in their career (not that I don't like their newer stuff, but some of it usually lacks creativity, or it feels like they're running out of ideas, or sometimes it's just because they change their sound slightly and I prefer their older sound). I'm so happy to say that, for me, this is not the case with Green Day. GD seem to go through ups and downs, rather than a sorta steady decline, imo. I think some of the best things they've done have come from the RevRad era. RevRad is by no means my favourite GD album (it's all the way down at number 7 actually), but I just think that this era has really proved that they've still got some life left in them, and that they've still got so much left to give. I can confirm that Bang Bang is currently my favourite song ever. I just think it's perfect and I can't fault it. It amazes me that they've released such a fantastic song this far into their career. Also, I would say the RevRad tour has been their best tour ever, even with the static set list. It's just been so fun and enjoyable and amazing to watch, even though I didn't get the opportunity to actually go to any of the shows. And then there's the BITUSA video, which is by far the best video they've ever made, imo. Just, for me, so much of their best stuff has happened in this era, and I'm so proud of them for it. They're my band for life. And the best part is that they've still got a long career ahead of them. I can't wait to see what they bring us next. 5
pacejunkie punk
^^^ This and also the awesomeness of the whole GFB concept and promotion makes me so excited for the future.
The Grohl
I prefer indoor shows. The sound is usually better and the venue is at least air conditioned...in most places. I don't like outdoor gigs mainly because it can get hot and I get super sweaty. If I'm inside I at least have a chance to cool down.
DookieLukie
One of the coolest things about Green Day is that when you break down their songs into basic acoustic guitar/piano parts, you can hear the clear country influences bleed out from their music, especially in their older stuff. Billie's childhood music interests has clearly had a very subtle effect.
Montclare
I'm used to watching Billie hump things; not quite so used to seeing Jason do it.
pacejunkie punk
Money Money 2020 is amazing to listen to with headphones. I appreciate it on a whole new level. Can you just imagine if they had released this then as the next Green Day album? People would have freaked! I almost wish they had done it. 😂
KGLWW
I hope at some point by the end of their career they do an all out party record full of covers, frustrators songs, the rodeo queens song, and maybe a few re-recordings of Dos songs. They could tour just playing those songs and I’d be happy going to every show even if they were exactly the same lol

First time I saw GD live we spotted Jason doing some cheeky air humping, and then he was doing a seductive hip wiggling dance at FBHT. He's so subtle most of the time that he can sneak in some hip action or dance moves occasionally with almost no one noticing . I love his style 1

They had to leave enough time to spend 15 minutes putting together an audience member band to play the last 1 minute of Knowledge . I love it though, the start of theatrical KFAD. tommyvercetti
This band makes me cry because it's the only piece of music that i always listened. Since 2003 making my days happy, Green Day the worst name of a band in rock'n'roll history (Billie's opinion) Thanks to the radio that played Minority which made me a lot of happy, that consequently led my mom to make a cd of Green Day songs, that's how it is my favorite band since i was like 2 xD

Popular Post solongfromthestars
I made a sort of timeline of the RevRad era because I thought it'd be cute after seeing the South American tour video (which seemed to be 3/4 about that tour and 1/4 the whole tour ). Maybe I should do a bigger one with more stuff but anyway it's random and cute so 8
Montclare
There are times I have to remember to keep the Green Day thoughts to myself. My barista at Starbucks was telling me that her dad died on May 4th and I had to keep myself from exclaiming, "That's Mike Dirnt's birthday!".
Maddie86
Well now that touring is definitely over and the greatest hits thing has come and gone, I feel like this place is gunna be in a bit of a lull for a while with no new GD things happening. It would have been nice to see more interviews and TV performances with the greatest hits release but oh well. Hopefully we get some new vague instagram posts from the studio soon, I loved that about the revrad recording!

pacejunkie punk
Billie is such a good songwriter that sometimes I can’t believe the songs he practically throws away and doesn’t put on albums. Favorite Son, Devil’s Kind and Body Bag are all brilliant and should have been on Green Day records instead of tossed off for other projects.

Agreed. They should've at least made Devil's Kind a bonus track on Rev Rad, though. I prefer it to OW.

Christian's Inferno!
Idk. Body Bag seems kind of meh to me. Definitely not worthy of being on an album imo. Devil's Kind is pretty good, I prefer it to OW. But I think the 21CB B-sides are probably the best. Lights Out and Hearts Collide are definitely album-worthy, although for an album as great as 21CB I understand why they weren't put on that album.
