Yeah I agree that it was deliberate. I think it sounds better with the pause but I find it hard to believe that they didn't listen to it and notice that it was a mistake. Perhaps it was a mistake but they thought it sounded better with the pause. Like jengd said, it gives more punch to the next line

anyone know what billie mumbles at the end of private ale? to me it sounds like 1 2 3 4 but i wanted to know if anyone heard it or im just loosing my mind

Sorry guy, have to disagree with you. The whole beat of the next line is delayed, implying that it was supposed to start where the gap is. If this truly was delibirate, they should've made the gap longer, say, for a whole beat, instead of this unconfident pause.

I'm pretty sure it's actually Mike. He just counting from 1 to whatever until the track completely fades out.
(He also mumbled something in the middle of the song, which to my knowledge, was never completely transcripted to human language.)

I must be dumb because I don’t hear that at all. I hear the pause but it’s never sounded like a mistake to me, just a small gap so the next part sounds more sudden. It doesn’t sound out of time at all to me!

I went to a shop with mum and while we were standing there debating over a potential Christmas present (closely watched by one of the shop assistants), When It's Time started playing on the radio, of all songs... definitely a surprise. I got really excited about it for a moment and kept nudging poor mum and telling her to listen and that I never heard this song on the radio

Where do you feel Billie ranks in terms of the frontmen touring right now?

I ask this because we've just seen The Killers the other night, who were absolutely outstanding, and my Dad thought that Brandon Flowers must be one of the best frontmen around right now. I agree with Dad as Brandon Flowers and Billie are the best frontmen I have seen live (I liked them both equally).

I haven't seen The Killers live, but judging from videos I can say Flowers is outstanding.

And so is Billie. It's hard to comapare him with many others because he involves the crowd a lot more than most artists do.

For me, it's a tossup between Billie and Matt Bellamy from Muse.  They're both great, but in polar opposite ways.  Matt is pure music/instrumental, and Billie is fantastic at getting the crowd hyped up/crowd interaction.  I have to give it to Billie for that reason.

Havent seen the Killers live as I haven’t liked anything they’ve done since Hot Fuss, can’t stand most of their recent stuff, seen them on TV live and don’t see what people get so excited about.  I have seen Muse but don’t think Matt Belamet comes close to Billie.  It’s been a while since I saw Muse mind as I haven’t liked their recent stuff either so he may got better.

The one & only time hubby saw GD with me he talked for months afterwards about what an amazing frontman BJ is.  We would be at bbqs at friends houses & he would bring up the topic of how great the concert was & how involved BJ got the crowd etc.

Apart from BJ you get the entertainment value from all the other members on stage - I think thats what makes a GD concert unique.

so about 20 minutes ago I started to make coffee and then I went in my room and started watching the GD House of Blues set. Then when they got to "409 in your coffeemaker" I yelled "fuck!" and ran off to the kitchen, I totally forgot that I had made coffee

I dug my green day mug out of the cupboard because of what happened lol. I was gunna post a pic of it but I don't have anywhere to host the pic since I deactivated my facebook page, oops!

I agree with that. I'd definitely pick Billie or Matt just because Billie has the ability to interact with fans even though they're playing a stadium. Matt isn't so great at that. He's an amazing singer and guitar player live, but audience interaction? Meh not really. He tries but Muse is more about their stage set up more than anything it seems.

I've not seen Muse live but I've seen a lot of artists and I think Green Day get the best balance of spectacle, performance and audience interaction. It's hard to do all three but they manage it.

I've been listening to Green Day all day  I saw them live on Friday and I miss being there so much! I wish I could do this every month. 

I want them to be my friends, goddamnit!

Got to admit that would be a little weird. I think it would mark the person as “fan” and put them in a certain category.  But I’m 100% on board with wanting to be their friend, if I could just keep that fan(girl) thing a secret. 😁😇☺️

Oh man, it just dawned on me that there’s only two concerts left! Two concerts! and then the whole RevRad tour and album cycle with its 120 shows (2016/2017) will be over!  It’s been great guys, I’m so sad it’ll be over soon...
