Popular Post Hermione
My boss decided to greet me this morning by loudly singing American Idiot down the corridor. Apparently my love for Green Day has been noticed Also my co-worker who used to quite like them thinks that the song Minority is called Minority Report but I don't correct her because I don't want to be a snobby elitist fan 2

Beerjeezus
Why are we discussing Billie's weird head in two topics in one day, that's way too much to handle 1

He had no excuse whatsoever

Beerjeezus
Guys what do you think All The Time is about? Yesterday I read this article and I was surprised that the writer interpreted it a song about boredom of domestic life. To me it's always been obviously about addiction. Yeah, to me the theme of the song is the time in general through the prism of his addiction. The part about the song in the article is: "All the Time” conveys domesticity’s tedium, as Armstrong wryly describes “having the time of my life, watching the clock tick.” I do think there's a "domestic" sound to the song, and that Billie refers incidentally to boredom in that line. But the song itself is not about boredom, and I don't feel that the writer of the article reduced it to that. He didn't mention all the songs on Nimrod, and spoke previously of Billie's addiction to alcohol when coming to Hitchin' A Ride. So I guess he just wanted to provide a brief look on the diverse subjects addressed on Nimrod.

You make a good point, he does talk about boredom in that line, but I wouldn't say it's domestic boredom, what he talks about is wasting time. That's different imo

Popular Post The Bellie
Still Breathing is becoming my #1 Green Day song, before Forever Now. My #1 song. That's said. I was also thinking about Tre (album), reading an article mentioning that Tre came out on December 2012 instead of January next year, as a "compensation" for the deleted and postponed concerts. I was thinking, it must've been tough for you guys not knowing what would happen next, and that album must have been sort of the spillway for that worry. I mean, I remember the first time I listened to opening track Brutal Love, I cried. And practically all the album is pretty damn beautiful. So I'm just imagining what it must have been for you guys who listened to it right after its release. I think I would have loved it even more. And knowing how things have gotten better starting from 2013, it must've been such an intense time to be a fan.

I remember listening to the NME album stream the moment it came up and after that first listen it was already my favourite of the Trilogy, after Dos was a tad disappointing I remember thinking "now this is starting to get back on track" with Tré.
Popular Post gnash
So I drive a college bus and there's a guy who regularly gets on wearing a 21CB t-shirt and a girl who occasionally wears a Revrad shirt. I never usually see Green Day shirts in the wild around here so I feel like I should somehow set them up together
