RedundantIdiot
Next week is the 1 year anniversary of the announcement of Bang Bang as the 1st single from Rev Rad, the week after is my 6 month anniversary since seeing GD, two and a half weeks from now is the 1 year anniversary of Bang Bang being released, and in 7 and a half weeks from now it's my 1 year anniversary of booking my GD ticket. Time flies fast when you're having fun listening to GD!
UNICORN VOMIT
I don't know if its because of Chris Cornell & Chester's passing but I have fallen in love again with Somewhere Now/Forever Now. I remember when I first heard it - I thought this is genius BJ. I hope the next tour cycle I get to see/hear Bang Bang & Forever Now again.

Who's Gonna Shoe Your Pretty Little Feet is a perfect lullaby and Kentucky is the perfect lying in a hammock and de-stressing song. I love it, too! I'm a big fan of vocal harmonizing (everly bros) and early country music (especially ones with said vocal harmonizing, like the louvin brothers), so I was SO excited and impressed when this project came about. I would have given anything to have seen that show billie and Norah did in ny a few years ago!!
Popular Post stories and songs
I took a couple months off of RevRad, and coming back to it always feels so homey. Something about that album's candidness and heart just hits me on a different level than past GD albums. I'll never forget the way I felt listening to it for the first time — it involved a lot of gaping and putting my hand over my mouth and smiling. It makes me emotional to think we're coming up on the one year anniversary of this era so soon. I have loved every second of it.

RedundantIdiot
One of the reasons why I like Dookie is because its a great album to listen to when I'm angry about something: This morning when I was on my way to the bus stop to get to work, I was crossing over at the traffic lights when a car (which had stopped at the red lights) suddenly decided to not ''Stop When the Red Lights Flash''. I was half way over the road and I heard the car coming at me, I turned to look at the car and it obviously wasn't going to stop, so I hurried across the road and it missed me by inches . It wasn't going very fast so it wouldn't have hurt me if it had hit me. But the crazy thing is that after narrowly missing me, the driver then proceeded to go straight to the back of a one and a half mile long traffic jam where the idiot would probably have been stuck for 30 minutes ! I'm guessing that the driver was too busy trying to pull up behind the cars in front he simply failed to give way to the crossing pedestrians. Not only did he absolutely scare the shite out of me, but he didn't gain much distance by jumping the lights. It all happened so quickly I didn't even have a chance to shout at him. Anyway, when I made it to work in one piece, I decided to vent my anger by putting Dookie on my IPod. If anything or anyone pisses me off its a great album with helping me to release my anger. Boy, was I fuming this morning.
St. Jonny
Hell yes!! Dookie, Insomniac and Nimrod are amazing for helping out with bad days and serious anger issues. Been keeping me going strong for the last 20 plus years! Bleed this band!!!

Montclare
I've always had a strange fascination with when people are having separate conversations (or reading, or thinking) and they both land on the same word at the same time. You figure of all the words in the English language (or whatever language you speak), what are the odds that both conversations would have the same exact word at the same exact moment (obviously I'm excluding words like the, and, it, etc)? Today I was scrolling through Facebook and came across a guy asking where to get dry ice. What song was playing on my computer at that exact moment? Dry Ice.
RedundantIdiot
I've just been looking at statistics for the tours on Wikipedia: I noticed that there was a cancelled gig on the 4th July 2010 during the 21st Century Breakdown tour for the Heineken Jammin' Festival in Italy, which was cancelled due to bad weather. How bizarre that the Bellahouston gig in Glasgow was also cancelled on the 4th July this year (but not for bad weather). Perhaps GD should avoid gigs on the 4th July as that day seems to be jinxed!

I get moments like this too when I swear the universe is trying to fuck with my head! Not strictly the same but I feel like I've seen that pink inflatable flamingo fucking everywhere on my social media feeds this past week.

I saw a Walgreens commercial the other day, and the kid in it had a giant pink flamingo float. It's spreading!
herewegoagain
The Armstrongs are such trendsetters Random thought: my disgusting, raggedy golden circle wristband from Gothenburg is so close to falling off and I'm not okay with that at all. Popular Post pouty bitch
I was listening to Bang Bang the other day and it just made me realise that it's one of my favourite GD songs ever. It just seems to get better and better the more I listen to it. It's been out for almost a year, and usually I would be bored of a song by now, but I still love it so much. A smile still appears on my face every time I hear it. I love almost everything about it, especially Billie's vocals and Tre's little drum solo.

Never really thought about that, but now you mention it, it does seem very Insomniac. That must be why I love it so much, because Insomniac is one of my favourite albums.

The energy when the song kicks in at the beginning is so infectious it actually makes me laugh out loud. And their performance of it on the AMAs is still the best thing ever.

RedundantIdiot
Today is the one year anniversary of the infamous One Week post! For those of you who were not on this forum then, a random user posted the words one week in the Green Day in the studio thread. A couple of days later, Bang Bang was announced as the 1st single of Rev Rad. Here's the post:
