Random Green Day Thoughts

Yes, I meant 1.25 Billion and that's exactly my point. One video had I think 100 Million + views, the other as you say only 5.7 Million. So, it would make sense to take down the video with the least views, right? At least, that's what I would do...

They also deleted the Good Riddance video which had around 25 million views, I believe. The other one only has 4m views.

I heard that Green Day are already planning a follow up album for RevRad. Heard that they want to make a legendary album like American Idiot or Dookie again, will be massively promoted, just like when they were more relevant and mainstream.

They just wanted a bit fun with this album, away from the stress. RevRad wasn't really for the fans, it was more for Green Day themselves. Preparing or something.

Is it true?

I hope it is, I forgot who told this, but I think it was a comment in one of the newer videos. Maybe someone finds it?

I always heard the long 'dead' in Burnout too. It's probably more noticeable with earphones.

Nah, just sounds like speculation to me.

What I think they did say was that they were thinking about doing another concept album (after 4 non concept albums), because they really enjoyed making AI and 21st. BD. But as @Jenn. said, it's more or less all speculation at this point, since they've only just released an album and are in the middle of a world tour supporting it...

The person who said this, told that they're already planning it. Perhaps they already have some ideas, but I'm glad enough they still have the energy to travel and rock around the world.

Where is this speculation being talked about? Reddit? Twitter? Is there a link where people are talking about this?

I'm not sure where the appropriate thread for this is but I decorated my graduation cap in tribute to my heroes and feel fairly proud 😊 🎓.

That's so cool! And congrats! :D

It'd be cool if they were recording an EP of new songs. It'd be a really nice surprise!

I'm listening to Green Day for the first time in months. I don't know why, but i'm getting all emotional and teary-eyed. I guess listening to their older stuff makes me realize that i'm getting older and "i'm getting bored and I'm going nowhere fast".

Good writing! I did enjoy the article but now I'm getting worried about my mom

Haha, yes! It's one of the reasons I'm scared of the pit myself, lol. Maybe prepare her a little, practice balancing techniques and such

Thanks :) hopefully it's nothing. I got it x-rayed to make sure though  - normally I wouldn't bother seeing a doctor about any mysterious leg pain/swelling but I'm not taking any chances before Green Day!

I discovered Bab's Uvula Who, Stuart and the Ave, Worry Rock and Uptight for the first time today and they're amazing!

If this is the one I was thinking of, I remember that day SO clearly. I read the news on Christmas day, I had gotten Sims 2 (Maybe Sim 3) and was about to install it onto the family computer in the office, and popped on GDC just to see who was about and saw news about it. I instantly started hysterically crying and that Christmas day was fucking ruined for me. I was morbidly depressed for like 3 days until I found out it was a hoax. I cried through Christmas dinner

which year?

so, proud to say that as part of the senior prank in my high school tonight - during which a ton of shit happened, including a minor flood - that I did a little Billie Joe tribute and took every phone in the school off the hook :D

Well i sang Holiday in from of my Geography class

IT was a throwback to when i sang it for my friends at a field Trip last year

They found it really funny 😂

One song I always find myself coming back to time and time again when I listen to GD is Misery! I just love how it's incredibly different to all of their material previous to it, but it's still undoubtedly and quintessentially GD, and the lyrics are so thought-provoking and really clever. Definitely one of my favourites!

I love Misery. When I first listened to Warning, that was the song that stood out to me the most (alongside Blood, Sex & Booze and Castaway).

It's a shame though, because everyone around me seem to think that Misery is one of GD's worst songs. :(

Those are my 3 favorite songs on Warning too. Who cares what others think, they have no taste in music. :P

@Boulevard of Brexit Dreams Get Insomniac. That whole album is amazing!
