I just can't get into the songs, but I've only listened to it all the way through twice. Does it get better the more you listen to it? I recommend you listen to it a few more times before deciding whether you like it or not. Some songs are a bit generic but there are some good songs on the album

Well I'm a firm believer in giving new music a decent chance, I couldn't judge it fairly on two listens I think I got into it fairly quickly, but I also had quite low expectations. Having listened to and fallen in love with everything up until the Trilogy over two months's time, whilst picking up on the general negativity here and elsewhere, it didn't take much to be pleasantly surprised. But I listened to it A LOT for a while after that, and still enjoy it so I guess it's a stayer. Also Dos+Tré paled in comparison for me (bar a few songs) even with the open mind that came with liking Uno. Not sure if that answers your question
Popular Post Jesus of Seneca
In the pop choir at my school, we're going to do Good Riddance!!!!!!! We've been trying to decide on a more modern song that we could add instrumentation to for about a week now, and it literally came down to a coin toss between that and sound of silence. The GD gods looked favorably upon me today i guess. And now i've got about a month to learn it on guitar
St. Jonny
It's pretty easy! Harder to get the singing down, but it's not hard in the end.

Ritz
Today was the day when the press release about the Trilogy came out. Man, that was an awesome time.

It was the same with me, but I thought I was the only one. Thank God I'm not. I became a casual fan around about July last year, but since then, I've listened to more and more of their music and now I own all of their albums and I consider myself fully part of the fandom. So, more people are becoming proper Green Day fans, and I have also noticed that a lot of young kids are going to see shows on the Rev Rad tour. Why is Green Day gaining so many fans now? Also, some people on this thread have said that they stopped coming on GDC around trilogy era, but now they have started coming back on regularly. Why is that? Is it because there was a lack of wow in the trilogy, or is it because you have gained a lot of love for Rev Rad? Same here. I knew of them and listened to them casually throughout high school and college in the 1990's. But seeing them live for the first time on March 10 just blew me away. I've listened to little else besides GD since the show. I'm glad it's not just me, too. I'm all in.

I've noticed a lot of people on GDC who say they only became a fan within the last year, so we're not the only ones.

RedundantIdiot
I have a question: have GD ever/never sold programmes at gigs? Or is selling programmes at concerts something bands don't really do nowadays?? I was really surprised to see that GD weren't selling programmes at my gig, and they don't seem to have done it at all during the tour. I'm sure that if they'd produced programmes it would have been an interesting read- interviews, pictures, factoids about the tour, posters, etc. I don't know how much it would cost to produce a load of programmes... but at the gig I went to there were massive queues at the merchandise stands, and people were spending a lot of money. I'm pretty sure that if programmes were available people would have bought them- I know I would've, and I'm sure a lot of people here would've. jengd
Yes, they did on 21 CB tour, they were nice, large format, glossy, colour, mainly pics but I like my one, I think they were £5.00. I was at Donnie Osmond in January (yes, I know, I'm a very good friend, but it was awful) and programmes were £25.00 so even my mad obsessed friend didn't buy one! Don't know if they have just got expensive to produce or Donnie was just milking it, that was the impression I got from the rest of the evening, total antithesis of a GD show haha.
