Otis Big
Green Day should play Holiday and the Outlaws as part of their setlist.
St. Jonny
Outlaws too slow and boring for live performance. You mean together? Or start doing Holiday twice? Screeeww that. Agree that F.O.D. is way too underrated and I love how it kicks in so heavy!! Needs more love live. Perhaps once every month or so at least. Popular Post End Of The World
The Forgotten is so underrated. I love the music and lyrics are something I can easily relate to. The arrangement is simple but emotional enough to the spirit of the song.
bouncingoffthewallbja
I have the link to GD's Twitter account on my home screen so I just decided out of curiosity to see which users the account follows. One of them is @POTUS which is now entitled "President Trump", so someone may need to unfollow that account!

The Forgotten, Good Riddance, Restless Heart Syndrome, etc - and Viva La Gloria actually nearly made me cry when I listened to the instrumental version. Ugh I love it
Popular Post Billie Hoe
I'm listening to Bang Bang on a loop again... this song is everything. Everything about this song is perfect - the speed, his voice, his scream, the drums, the guitars, the lyrics, the message... I still get butterflies in my stomach when I listen to it and even though I'm physically quiet I'm shouting along in my mind. It's not just the feeling it gives me now, but the feelings it gave me when I first listened to it. It takes me back to when I was lying on my back in my bed, earphones plugged into my laptop, volume turned up to the maximum, not understanding a single word but still excitedly letting it fabricate my brain into mush while staring at the ceiling with wide eyes and absolute amazement. Almost crying because after years of waiting, my favorite band was finally back, better than ever, and everything was just getting started. Remembering how this was literally the only song I listened to for weeks. A 3 hour car ride would turn into 3 hours of Bang Bang. If it wasn't Bang Bang, I wasn't interested. I couldn't get tired of it and I still can't get tired of it. And then seeing them on stage at the AMAs, performing this glorious song, being their glorious selves, doing the "No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA" chant and Billie letting us do it at the concert, joining in... I only have 100% purely positive emotions about this song. ... oh yeah, and I still hear "...Hulk Smash of men, they claim responsibility for the executions..." in the radio chatter.

I do think it's one of the best in the Tre record. But I do agree that it is pretty underrated.
unextraordinarygirl
The Forgotten is such an underrated song and def. one of my favs. off of Tre. It's quietness and instrumental music is so beautiful and emotional. It reminds me so much of Let It Be.
Maddie86
whatever happened to that music video for revolution radio that they said they were doing? it was a little while ago, there was speculation about it being released around Trump's inauguration... Hermione
How lovely to see some love for The Forgotten . I really love the ending lyrics of it, very nice sentiment to end the albums on. And I'm also a sucker for strings.

Wretched & Divine
This performance strikes me so deep. I cry almost every single time, and it shatters me not knowing if I'll ever get to hear it live.
MaraGreenDay
^^ Yesterday I was listening ¡Tré! and I almost forgot how much I love Brutal Love, it's such a beautiful song, Billie's voice sounds amazing and is one of my favorites live, that scream after "something for my trouble mind" still gives me chills, ugh I love it so much and it makes me sad that they don't play it live anymore and probably never will.

I'm going through the extremely difficult process of ordering my top 30 favourite Green Day songs, and having to listen to a lot that I tell myself are my favourites. And I just... god, Brutal Love is a masterpiece and I can't overstate how much I adore it. It has landed firmly at #2 which is kind of a surprise to me, but also not really because everything about it from the lyrics to the melody is just perfect It's one of those rare songs that feel like they could change the rhythm of my heart, however ridiculous that sounds
Wretched & Divine
I fell out of touch with a friend I made years and years ago through Green Day on LiveJournal, but recently we've started talking again and she was like "I still think of Green Day most days, you know?" And I didn't know how to respond to that, because the general gist is that she's gotten over them and it felt like she expected I have, too So I just sent her this with "haha... yeah... same"
St. Jonny
Yeah I saw the last show Metallica did that in 2014! Best set I've ever seen them do, and def the only time I'll get to see Four Horsemen live! Awesome vote it was. Having said that, I won't go see them again since their regular sets suck so damn much. The Forgotten is absolutely beautiful! Vocal delivery, the lyrics, the music, just beautiful. Another song that makes Tre my favorite from the Trilogy. Popular Post stories and songs
On February 11, 2017 at 5:09 PM, Jenn. said: This era made me fall back in love with Green Day hardcore. I've never not been a fan but looking back I can see I wasn't as into them during the trilogy era as I had been previously. In 2009 I skipped school to book tickets to see them, in 2013 I bought a ticket for Emirates AGES after they went on sale and I wasn't on GDC and the general excitement level was just below what i'd always had. This era however has been amazing, my love has come back big time, I love the album, I'm back here making dumb posts, and the two gigs I just went to were overwhelming and emotional and just kick ass. I just love this band and i love you guys and hey, I'm not even drunk making this post Same, absolutely. Things were weird leading up to the Trilogy, and at the time I thought it was me just growing apart from them, even though I never thought that would happen. And then, well, things got worse before they got better. Even when they came back in 2013, I was trying so hard to make things feel the way they did before, but I just couldn't move past feeling generally shitty about the entire era. So, I took a good two years off from the band where they didn't have nearly as much influence in my life as they had previously. I needed that break, and it really did me some good. It was crucial for me that the band move past that time so we could start with a clean slate. I didn't realize just how much I needed that until the RevRad era started, and everything felt light and happy and I felt like I was falling in love with them all over again. I don't know how else to describe it other than this feels like a new beginning as a fan. I love it. I'm having the most fun I've ever had since becoming a fan 12-ish years ago.
RedundantIdiot
I'm so glad they played Are We the Waiting during the European tour. I've always liked that song and I'm pleased they found a place for it on the setlist. It sounded great live.
