That album makes me so happy! It is a great album. Lots of love songs and a lil Wiilie Joe voice that's high and ya just wanna lay there and enjoy how cute his voice is. I'm a male. I've tried a lot of hangover 'recipes' and I find water works the best, HOWEVER, and it's a big HOWEVER, that's just a physical remedy - I think you also need a psychological remedy as well!! And if 1039 puts you in a great state of mind than add that to the regimen and feel wonderful after a night of drinking. I'm drunk as fuck right now and in the morning, I'll just pop a xanax. I'm oxymoronic.
mrduckygoosy
I've come to realize how Static Age should have been the next single after 21 Guns. It is so powerful, catchy and radio friendly (especially back then) I'm sure it would have done pretty well on the charts. I've never understood why they gave up on promoting properly the singles after 21 Guns anyway.

It is so catchy and fun, it would have made a great single.

I mean, KYE is ok, but not first single worthy. I would probably trade it and the last 2 for little girl, murder city, and Before the lobotomy. Add in a little more promotion for these songs and they have 5 hits. Also, I think the static age is ok, but there are better options. WhiteTim
I think Green Day should work with Jack Endino he makes great stripped down recordings without the brickwalling
Popular Post Wretched & Divine
I kind of need someone to hold my hand and tell me I'm not crazy or dreaming. I've now bought my tickets to see Green Day for every date they're playing in Australia. It was a bit of a rash decision to add Perth and I guess I didn't believe it was happening until I clicked to pay for my ticket. This is all very overwhelming. I've never seen them more than once on a tour before, and now I'm seeing them five times in less than two weeks?! Help me, I don't know how to process my emotions right now. Is this actually real life? I can't really talk to anyone about this because no one seems to truly understand how much this band means to me
End Of The World
I think I can understand you. GD in some ways changed my (rather short) life during a bad period, so it means a lot to me too... OK: No. You are not crazy! I can tell you this is real life, the boring, difficult life... But over 365 boring days, 5 of your days will be green. I'll live just one green day, the first of my life, and you can't know how much I am excited. I think about GD more or less 30 times a day, I have always music in my head and songs recall me different periods of my existance. Every time I listen to a song I think about the first time I heard it, then I start wondering when it was, what happened and so on. I shiver every time I do that and that's one of the greatest things a one could do. This is just my modest opinion. I hope I got the point.
End Of The World
Just listened to Last of the American Girls and I've noticed that the vocal range of BJ in this song is of just 3 notes (B, C# and D#, try to sing it). Simple and perfect.

Even though I've been lucky enough to see them a lot of times before I'm still super happy and overwhelmed that I get to see them multiple times again. Let alone when I think that I'm going to see them at one of the venues I first saw them in 2009, I go all fuzzy inside and get emotional. Other than my mum and my partner no one in my life gets it either, but we're just too cool for them
I don't care
Are any of you going to the Stockholm concert? I've been a fan for years but this is my first actual concert so I'm pretty damn excited!

Other than my mum and my partner no one in my life gets it either, but we're just too cool for them Thank you! I had a bit of an emotional... something... when I bought that ticket. Whenever I say "help me" to my friends/family in regards to this upcoming tour around the country with Green Day, the response is always "lol I'm pretty sure you need no help " which makes it clear to me they don't get it. It's emotionally taxing to process the knowledge I will be doing this, and I basically just need someone to shake me a little bit and bring me back to earth. It's so difficult to explain the mental/emotional process involved with getting to spend so much time with a band that was the only thing that got me through a lot of shit. amberwhite
so they are playing Bohemian Rhapsody in this little dive bar that we frequent and all I can think is in 4 months I'll be singing this with 12,000 people and it's bringing a tear to my eye.

amberwhite
OK, now they're playing Blitzkrieg Bop. This is too funny. Or it's the alcohol.

Popular Post Dakke
Anyone still remembering freaking out about the 'One week' post back in the 'Green Day in the studio 2016' thread? EDIT: Those were the days. On Saturday we heard rumors about Bang Bang and the day after an unofficial track list (which we now know to be completely accurate) was published. That weekend was legit the one the year's best.

RougeRogue
I will be doing a 4 hour drive to go to an event on the 20th (and then 4 hours back) and it occurred to me that it might be fun to fill that time by playing as many GD albums as I can in order. I definitely wouldn't get all the way through, but I haven't actually listened to a full album in a long time (other than RR). Maybe even make a blog post about it if it inspires anything

Popular Post I don't care
Random thought; is it just me or does Mike always look so majestic when he's playing? Idk he just kind of makes me think of a big, majestic lion. Like Mufasa or something... I mean; (Googled pictures, let me know if it's yours and you want it taken down) Am I making any sense? I'm really sleep deprived and this thought just popped into my head and I was like; yeah, that makes sense...
