Yes! 21st CB still gives me chills sometimes, it was such an epic opening song on the tour. I also loved Murder City, I hope they play some of those again. I haven't listened to 21st CB (the album) in such a long time, I need to do it soon.

A while ago I saw the video on TV and I discovered how great it is again. It made me so emotional (back then I went from having no interest in the band to loving them in the 5 minutes of the song, that was spectacular) 51 minutes ago, Ellen Caulfield said: I love 21st Century Breakdown live I really miss that song I'd love to hear it live 21cb is one of the few gd albums I still listen to

That song just blew my mind and then I saw Billie at the end of the video - that made me a fangirl as well right away.

Billie Hoe
Today me and a few classmates were talking about Green Day during our break (our professor wanted us to tell a special story out of our lives as an introduction and i told a green day story) and one of the girls which I totally never expected to like Green Day said "My boyfriend and I have totally different tastes in music but when we're in the car, we always play Green Day because that's the only artist we can agree on" and that made me really happy
RougeRogue
Do you think the Foxboro Hot Tubs will permanently die with Billie's sobriety? The alcohol-party mentality was the foundation of what they were and every bit of their aesthetic, so I wonder. I mean, as if we were ever going to expect them to return regardless

Nowhere Man
Couldn't agree more about EJN, 21st CB and Before The Lobotomy. Would add Viva La Gloria (Little Girl) to this list. I don't understand why they almost forgot about the existence of this album except KYE which is already actually kind of annoying. Billie's frustration about Trilogy is explainable but this 21st CB disregard is strange.
Popular Post DookieLukie
I don't know how to explain it properly, but the Trilogy sort of baffles me for reasons other than "It's bad". Honestly, a lot of the songs are super catchy and unique. However, the songs just don't FEEL like Green Day. I don't know how else to put it. Even the better songs like Brutal Love and Lazy Bones are GREAT, but they don't even feel like a Green Day song. In contrast, take "Youngblood." Poppy just like the Trilogy, but it bleeds Green Day. Maybe it's the guitars or vocals...idk. The Trilogy just felt...off. Not bad, but off.
stories and songs
@DookieLukie I absolutely adore the two songs you listed, but beyond a handful that I really love, I agree. Green Day's music always heart, and many of the trilogy songs felt very superficial. I know they were going for light and fun, but that's not why I love them. I love them because they have a special ability to typically make light and fun still meaningful. I felt no meaning in a good 80% of the trilogy because the themes talked about a kind of lifestyle I couldn't relate to. No emotional connection whatsoever. That's what made it not Green Day-like to me.

Judging from videos I watched, it wasn't anyhow awkward. I liked watching their show withought having to worry someone would get sick.

stories and songs
Little Girl is one of my all time favorite songs. I'd LOVE to hear it live. It's so powerful and actually fits very well with the sound of RevRad.
