It's difficult to express these feelings but I don't think it has fully dawned on me yet. I've been a fan for almost 7 years and over that time, "seeing Green Day" has become something that "surely would happen sometime" but it has always been such an abstract wish - like when people say they'll make a trip to somewhere really fancy or buy an expensive car but never really act on it. It's really awesome I'm finally past this stage. When I pick up the tickets I'll have to display them somewhere so I can stare at them all the time to remind myself I'm not dreaming! Oh my god I'm really happy that you got them ! I would have been so depressed if you didn't . It's definitely worth the 7 year wait! Which show are you going to?

Beerjeezus
Sorry to double post, I just had a totally random idea: it's the time for another FBHT show. I do hope the foxies will make a cameo sometime during the revrad tour.

Much as I'd fucking love to see them I don't think they'll play, RevRad is darker and more serious and it wouldn't really go with the mood. That's assuming the tour will follow the mood, which isn't definite.

However, they played a number of shows some time after 21CB tour ended or during that era and that album was serious as well so idk, wouldn't say it's hopeless. This makes me think I really do wish they wouldn't put on a super serious image, I liked the lighter mood of the trilogy. Neither seems to be what they are going for this time, though.

If so, I'm not sure it would work so well now Billie is sober.
Clockwise
He's already done one Foxboro show sober, so it's definitely a possibility!

Shouldn't be an issue as far as we can guess.

There are definitely enough free dates at the moment!
tresexy101
Maybe he'll relapse, ya know, with all this stress that could potentially happen with the world tour and triggers. His addiction was alcohol AND pills combined together. Maybe if he takes them at different times than...........ahhh never mind, I'm making no sense. You are making sense, but I don't think it's hugely respectful or appropriate to speculate about a recovering alcoholic/addict relapsing.

You're absolutely right. I just remember a post where he was performing a FoxHotTub , post rehab, and Billie was drinking on stage and a girl in the audience said 'i hope that's non alcoholic' and he just 'smiled and winked'. Sorry for my run on sentences.

MaraGreenDay
First time I heard that too... I remember that in those shows he was holding beer, but he just threw it at the audience and he had water for himself so idk... Spoiler Please, don' make me worry I mean, I know it could happen, but ugh please, just don't.
Hermione
Pretty sure he was just throwing beer on the audience for the most part at those shows, he certainly wasn't blind drunk like at previous ones. However he plays a character during FBHT shows so if that thing about smiling and winking is true it wouldn't surprise me whether he was really drinking or not, he was acting as the Rev at the time! I don't recall that Billie has promised anything about what he will and won't drink anyway though? Not everyone who goes through rehab pledges to be teetotal for life afterwards. He's been pictured with a beer in his hand on a few occasions since rehab and nothing terrible has happened. At the end of the day it's his business. A Foxboro show after one of the Green Day ones (in London perhaps ) would be very welcome if they still have it in them to pull that off. Or one on a free night during the tour. Of course during the 21st CB tour they had Prima Donna (and therefore Kevin Preston) on tour with them as support and that made it a lot more feasible, but I think it could still be done.

21guns&novacaine
I realized last night that 21st Century Breakdown isn't actually my favorite Green Day album, but American Idiot is. It's been a complicated thought for me for a long time and I finally addressed why I seemingly liked that one the most, and it's not because of content, but because of all the memories I had associated with it. It was really the first Green Day album I'd heard, and being ten, coming from a background of Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers, it was hard not to feel smacked upside the head by some actual, real music. Also, it was the album that got me back into them months after an incident, which stained all the happy memories I originally had with the album, so I guess the love is more so bittersweet, and my minds always been set on 21st CB being my favorite, when really, I'm just very partial to it, like an old stuffed animal you used to love, but don't play with anymore and can't bring yourself to get rid of, but when you look at it, you remember all the memories. I think my actual favorite would be American Idiot or Uno. I listened to those two albums on repeat for weeks, just blown away by how amazing music could sound if I stepped out of the shadow of boy bands and pop idols. To me, this feels like a very weird revelation to have.

Dakke
I always thought Billie wrote Ordinary World with Geezer in mind, but it seems as though he did write it for a new record originally. It'll be interesting to hear the studio version. It seems that all albums since Warning but Uno! have sported a ballad of sorts as the final track. It certainly fits the movie, but I think it was written earlier than Devil's Kind, at least before he got the lead role in Geezer.
The Great Saiyaman
I remember one time like two years ago I saw some comment on a Green Day YouTube video that said something like: "You Green Day fans are so fucking stupid... PC MASTER RACE!"
Popular Post AlissaGoesRAWR
I think the bridge to Haushinka may be my favorite part of a Green Day song ever. That doesn't mean the entire song is my favorite, either. It's just... so fucking epic when that song builds to the bridge and final chorus and I will never stop loving it. I'd kill to see that live someday.
