That makes more sense, if you'd said Girl On The Phone I'd have got it immediately

I normally agree with most of what you say, but this I have to disagree with 100%. The lyrics are dribble and the music sounds like a funeral dirge. It is a beautiful gift to his wife and I think it should have stayed between the two of them. And then he reused the music and made it WMUWSE which is another song I don't like I think Last Night on Earth is far superior
Harry Potter.
I get the argument that it's cheesy but I still love Last Night on Earth, I think it's beautiful.

When It's Time is simpler and doesn't really fit in with the rest of AI and 21CB, but in my opinion it's a solid song in it's own right. I personally like WMUWSE, so may I ask why you don't like it? Libertine Angel
Yeah, for some reason When It's Time has just never really struck me with anything, it's not bad but it's just sort of nothingy, as far as love songs go Last Night On Earth is a fuckload better.

Exactly. It's just more simplistic, more reverb-y and overall less interesting.

I think the lyrics to both songs are weak, especially WIT. To me it sounds like a poem a 5th grader would write. Musically I find it drags, so coupled with the weak lyrics, it makes for a very weak song. WMUWSE lyrics are far superior, but coupled with the music that drags, it takes away from the lyrics. And I'm not a fan of all the lyrics either, I mean "all I want is you to understand that when I take your hand it's 'cause I want to"...well yeah, what other reason you gonna have?

Second this, the lyrics are kind of cliched. The simplicity of the song - "the man and the guitar" make it stand out even more.

Yeah, man-and-guitar love songs can work brilliantly if they're well-written (think of Billy Bragg) but otherwise they come across as just a bit crap.

Does Words I Might Have Ate count as one? I haven't heard it in ages but I just remembered how awesome it is.

Doesn't matter some folks don't like holding hands I don't but I'll hold my girls hand sometimes cause I know that what she likes Billie is simply saying he holding her hands cause he likes to and wants to
