Yes! And All the Time, Scattered, Prosthetic Head, Hitchin a Ride, Worry Rock...just all of it would be so fantastic live. And I want live strings for Good Riddance, violin for Hitchin a Ride, and the ska band for KFAD.

2017, not 2016 :)

I've never seen them live, so I'm not yet sick of KFAD!

Well you are gonna see them soon:)

Actually I think you live near my best board bud @JJ1964 you will be at the same concerts as the bitch.

It is already June of 2016, unless they are planning the shortest tour in history, they will be touring in 2017.

violins for Hitchin a Ride are a must, I just hope he doesn't stick his hand down his pants any more, so cringeworthy

The concerts should just be KFAD 15 times with a encore of Nightlife and Forgotten

I love Nightlife, but that would only work if I get to go on stage and sing the Lady Cobra part.

I'd love to see a show where they play all of nimrod, I might even be willing to fly out for it if I have the money at the time, and I've never flown before! nimrod is a special album for me. I got into green day after insomniac came out, so nimrod was the first album that I was anticipating. I remember watching MTV for the hitchin a ride video to come on so I could tape it, and I remember going to Coconuts the day it came out so I could buy it. The first time I ever saw GD play live was on that tour too, and I remember paying super close attention to when they would be on TV. I was in 6th grade at the time, so they left a huge impression on me. There's some songs they never played live, I'd love to see the nimrod version of Haushinka live, and how fucking great would if be if they played some of the B-sides live? i'd LOVE to see Suffocate, Sick, and Desensitized live

Has anyone who has the Trilogy box set read some of the liner notes within the pages? Some of them are really interesting and gave me a different perspective on the music.

Forgotten with Billie Joe at the piano, of course.

Oh yeah you're right about the dates, I wasn't thinking. And same for me, I don't want to see that "version" of Hitchin a ride, he didn't do that on the last tour, did he? Cringeworthy is a good word for that. But violins are a must.

It's been years... But it took me long enough to finally start liking 21st Century Breakdown! I've always had a complicated relationship with this album, but now I really like some of the songs a lot more! I don't even know why, but I felt like listening to it today, and I realized I actually like most of the songs on this album! I started listening to some of the ones I really like at first, but then I figured I might as well just listen to the whole thing! I guess it just finally grew on me after all this time.

Have you never flown because you haven't wanted to go anywhere or like me do you have a fear of flying.

Me and I agree! It adds a little extra thought to each song, often more extreme/emotional than the song itself. Reading through them really gets you thinking about the songs' meanings.

It must be a great feeling to anticipate an album and end up with an epic one. I only got to anticipate trilogy in a very busy year for me and while i liked some of it, I always thought how cool it would be to wait for Nimrod and get your ass kicked from the first time.(Unless you are a jaded punk ,then "Good Riddance" may hurt feelings.)

nimrod full live would be fantastic and what could be historic is the whole band playing "Good Riddance" i mean play it in green day style with bass and drums. It would be even better in a small place rather than a stadium. They played dookie for 20th year and next year Nimrod is 20 years old..one can only hope

Just listened to Jinx/Haushinka...those are just such incredible songs!  How awesome would it be to hear those live!! For me, that set is foreshadowing of the JOS and Homecoming epicness to come 7 years later.

Interesting how On The Wagon, Don't Wanna Fall In Love and Walking The Dog (I know this one is a cover but still) were from the dookie sessions and all had that 50's/60's vibe. Makes me wonder how Dookie would have sounded if Rob Cavallo had been able to handle more diversity at the time.

It could be like Nimrod

Yes, I think GD were way ahead of their time. Billie Joe had already written "Good Riddance" when they were recording Dookie, but Cavallo didn't see how he could arrange it and fit it in to the sound of Dookie. I think they had to grow into their self confidence to finally be able to express themselves freely with their music.

Did anyone scan those and put them somewhere on this site? I'd love to read them.

Speaking of Homecoming, I think it would be great if they played this song live again. It's amazing!!!

Is interesting but leaving off more experimental songs and a cover in favour of stronger songs isn't an illogical thing to do and could've been the band's decision, I don't see anything to suggest that Rob Cavallo stopped them doing anything in particular. There's already plenty of retro influences on Dookie (best examples of a 50's/60's influence being Pulling Teeth or the jazzy Longview, but in many other places there's more going on than just modern pop punk), as well as on earlier albums (eg Words I Might Have Ate), seems to me it was the amount of diversity the band wanted and already a decent amount.

Well I didn't mean that actually. The band definitely dropped songs like I Don't Wanna Fall In Love because they thought it wouldn't fit the album and I know they weren't "forced" in any way but the fact Rob Cavallo was unsure how he would proceed to record Good Riddance makes me think it might have been easier for him at the moment to keep some sound unity. Still I'm sure the album sounds precisely like the band wanted it to sound like, choices had to be made though. I agree so much about Pulling Teeth by the way, could almost be a Beatles song haha :D

Sorry for being late to the party, but I agree that they should play all of Nimrod live. And even if they don't do the whole album there's a few songs on that album that haven't been played live in a while that they should play.

I've looked at setlist.fm and Reject and Uptight have only been played once.

Jinx, Last Ride In, All the Time & Worry Rock all played twice

Haushinka played four times, Take Back played five times.

Here's the source: http://www.setlist.fm/stats/albums/green-day-13d68939.html

I would love all of Nimrod live . However they don't really do album anniversaries do they? They made a small attempt at it with Dookie's 20th (with it being the album that made them huge) but they never bothered with any 10th anniversaries or other 20ths so far so I'm not expecting anything. Especially with Nimrod where they'd have to re-learn so many songs including many they've never played live and that are tricky to play live.
